The Rise Of Park Yejoon

Chapter 26 - Lucky

They would go to Malibu to relax, take in nature and have fun.

Their vacation would last a week as Tian's company was better having their boss as soon as possible and they felt if they extended it by too much they'd grow too reluctant to leave.

The flight took around six hours and it gave Yejoon plenty enough time to take in all of the plane's intricacy and design.

It was a small vacation, a break, from everything.

They were having plenty of fun and felt their time here was truly worth it. They had gone hiking by the mountains in the area and swimming in its famed beach. Yejoon was ecstatic as he had done things he'd never done before such as snorkeling and dolphin watching.

He reclined in his chair at the hotel and realized just how lucky he was. To have died in his previous situation to have moved to this beautiful world with a gorgeous family. He realized how fortunate he was to have such amazing new parents. He felt grateful for his friends and everything that has happened so far. He was supposed to be dead. Cold, lifeless, and unaware yet here he was.

His thoughts moved on to the system. This was the mindboggling part. He had so many questions that would be left unanswered. He frustrated on the part that without the system he might not amount to much like his past life. Sure, he would be able to sing well and be 'exceptionally intelligent' *cough* school *cough* but that would be all he amounted to. He slumped into his chair and decided not to stress about it. He was living in the present, what use is questioning things that have happened if it will not take him higher. He left his thoughts by stating his will and capability would have helped him reach his dream.

He closed his eyes and drifted into nap land.

--------------------

Tian was extremely grateful for his family. He felt grateful for his loving wife and his son. As an orphan, he never imagined he would reach such heights yet here he was. He was living a comfortable life. Though the company relied on him, it had countless other superiors and branches that would ultimately guarantee the survival of his company if anything happens. His hard work managed to allow him to relax and be able to bond with his two favorite people.

When he had married his wife, Eunjoon, he noticed the way people stared at them both. Being in such a situation, he did not know how to act. He fell in love with her, even more, when she had grasped his hand and assured him. He had a minimum of courtesy, politeness, and elegance. However, his wife taught him. She showed him how to act with other high classes of society, how to 'beat around the bush' exceptionally well to get on other's good moods and bring the company to even greater heights, how to dance, and how to love.

Without such a good wife, he might have fallen with mistakes. Of course, he is not crediting her for everything as he independently built his company and did even an exceptionally well job at what he did; however, if it not for her he may have become too detached from society and would not know of the simple joys in life like having a son, relaxing with his family, bedding his wif- *COUGH*

--------------------

Eunjoon looked at her husband and son with a dreamy expression. She loved the two and would not hesitate to give her everything to them. She, like her husband, learned how to love from her spouse. She learned things she would have never imagined. How an orphan from a low-class society used to live. How others from low-class looked at the ones above. She learned the qualities of a wife she had to take on and the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.es of having a husband.

She giggled at the last thought.

She had been born of quite an affluent family which had no problems maintaining their lavish life. She grew a little spoiled and as more and more men attempted to court her, she saw herself quite highly. That was until she met Tian. Upon setting her gaze on him she had fallen in love. She planned and quickly became his friend.

She fell in love, even more, when she realized his family conditions and how he managed to rise above the others. She learned way more about people with not as much wealth as her family and she became someone that helped this kind of people.

Although they had both fallen in love at sight, they had not known and so it took around a year for Tian to finally muster the courage to court her. She, of course, had also used her charms to try to make him fall in love not knowing he already had a crush on her. Tian's cool and stoned face did not reassure her of her charms in any way, as such, she became more humble to the fact not everyone would be enchanted by her. Once he finally confessed, albeit, with a cold and lukewarm face, she wanted to cry tears of joy.

*DING*

He opened his eyes and grasped the phone on the table next to the sofa where he had napped. Yejoon's gaze traveled to the screen of the latest updated phone and his face contorted into a muddled expression.

"bro you went to the beach?" mingyu11

"Yeah, why do you ask?" pkyj123

"I can't believe you didnt invite your good brothers" shadowlord133

The message was sent in the trio's group chat. He snorted in laughter when he saw Sanghoon's name pop up. The two young boys had made fun of their hyung for such a ridiculous name. The older boy frantically waved his hands and with a red face explained that it was made when he was younger; however, it did not stop the two from making fun of him. He muttered "shadowlord" and lightly laughed to himself before tapping on the phone's keyboard.

"I thought I told you..? Why are you asking anyway?" pkyj123

"i probably didnt pay attentn" mingyu11

"and bcuz there r people dming me pics of u in the beach" mingyu11

"Ye same" shadowlord133

Yejoon lightly snickered again.

"Huh, I thought no one had acknowledged us." pkyj123

"ye picture looks like it was taken from afar and its only 1" mingyu11

"We got the same picture so its only one thats being sent" shadowlord133

"lol u better leave b4 people start storming the place" mingyu11

Although Mingyu said this, there's no way many people would go as there was no guarantee he would still be there and it was not confirmed whether it was him. Although fans that were already there might go to see, he wasn't that known to the point of having an entire beach packed with people.

"It's my last day here anyway."

The three lightly conversed for a while and ended the chat with their goodbyes.
