The Search For The Reincarnated Queen

On the third Sunday of the month, a child with auburn hair was born in the family of Haima named Vanford Charles Haima; however, his mother was never accepted by the kingdom.

Even though his blood was part vampire, there's no denying that the child was cursed.

His mother, a child of shamans, was meant to give birth to a son, who will have a power that is enough to terrorize the castle. Aside from having an unstable life span, he will also possess an ability that can harm, not only the people around him but also the whole kingdom, and giving birth to him cost her life.

The curse that was placed on the first prince was, a blessing for himself, but a danger to everyone - the ability to transform into any appearance he wishes to. But it has a price, his destiny was already planned. The king will kill his own child when he will have another child.

When Taylan was born, the king grew protective over him, and he never knew that he has an older brother since he was locked away from Vanford.

Between the two, Taylan was loved in the King's perception, while Vanford was the free one.

But as Vanford learn to control his power, the King began to feel anger and danger.

One night, before Vanford's 13th birthday, the king ordered an assassin to kill him in his sleep. But none of them knew that he already found out about it since he transformed into one of the guards.

He was able to sneak out and vanished into thin air.

Since then, the security of Taylan grew more intense and even had a gate separating him from the main castle. He was like a prisoner.

Vanford hid well amongst the people. He acted like a normal citizen of his own kingdom.

And later, he found his mother's relatives. He found out everything about her that the king never told him about.

His grandmother and grandfather were humans who work as shamans. His grandmother didn't approve of her relationship with a vampire even if he was the king and cursed the child between them.

Luckily, his grandmother and father are all dead since the king killed them after finding out about the curse, or else he might be the one who'll end their lives.

But there are still unclear things about his curse, he was concerned about his lifespan.

He was able to live normally, without any signs that his life is deteriorating.

Until he later found out about a related curse from one of the shamans he met.

"The end is the blood of a half-human and half-vampire, but it is most effective if the blood is from a powerful vampire. It can put an end to the curse." Said the shaman.

A grin was seen on Vanford's face which sent the shaman away from fear, it's perfect. He just found out the day before that his dear brother was to be married to a human.

Vanford grew curious of this human and later snuck into her life after killing her best friend.

But... He later enjoyed his life as Eliora Vivienne Solaire Sassa's best friend, France Benedict.

He loved her too.

She was kind, sweet, loving, caring, and most especially, she's beautiful. She was like a family that he longed for.

But his anger towards his 'chosen' brother grew darker.

He has it all.

He has a castle, friends, kingdom, power, and Eliora.

But since he was crowned as the King, his time grew shorter for Eliora. There are weeks when he will have to stay in some other place, and there are nights where he watched Eliora cry.

When people talked bad about her, he was there to stand by her side, even if she felt alone.

He even took care of the ones who spread gossips about her.

The rumor that affected Eliora the most was when they said that she's nothing but a blood bank for the King. He only needs her because he has blood, strong enough to give energy for the King, and for his servants and guards.

Of course, Vanford knew that is not true. He saw how much Taylan loved her even if he's sometimes neglectful for his wife, but he never comforted Eliora, because wanted her to question Taylan's feelings, of course.

Vanford promised that he will never hurt Eliora, but not until they found out that she was pregnant.

His world turned upside down. He can't bear to kill her. She's his family.

He paced back and forth in the garden, thinking about what he should do with the child who will put an end in his life, then he heard her voice.

She was so excited to tell Taylan about their child.

She was happy.

Then a thought struck his mind.

He doesn't have to kill her. Taylan will.

If he appeared as her husband and kill her, the blame will be on Taylan.

Yes!

That's it. Taylan will kill her.

He watched over Eliora, who, after the shaman he sent granted her request, was lying dead in the middle of her beloved garden.

He kneeled and sniffed her silver hair that is now dripping with blood and took her crown.

If only she didn't marry Taylan and didn't become the queen.

He threw her crown and kissed her cheek, knowing that she'll be reincarnated, he took some of her blood and kept it in a vial.

The plan is, he'll either have to kill her again in her next life before Taylan sees her, or get her on her feet against the King.

If there was one thing he did while he was in the castle was, gather enough information about his family and things that will come in handy.

If she drinks her own blood, which was already affected by the King's power, she can be the Queen again without having to mingle with Taylan intimately.

Also, while staying with her while she was still alive, he found out that Taylan doesn't even know what the Queen's true power, none of them knew.

His dear dead old father king didn't even know about it, nor their grandfathers, for they all killed their Queen by drinking their blood before she can even show it.

Vanford grinned as he watches Eliora stare at her reflection after she put on the dress he made for her.

When he saw her wearing the current fashion trend, he can't help but puke. Her beauty is suited to their old fashion, a gown.

He walked inside and brushed her hair, "My Queen," he said and slowly embrace her from behind, "I missed you."

She looked at him and smiled, then she placed her hand over his cheek, and whispered, "France Benedict."

Vanford froze, the moment he looked at himself, he's looking like her best friend, the one he killed and used for years, and that was also the moment that he found out that he can no longer control his power.

He didn't intend to look like this human. He wanted to be by her side as his true identity, Vanford Charles.

But if this is the price of killing his brother and having her, then, so be it.

He smiled and rested his head over Eliora, "My best friend," he said and hugged her tightly with a terrifying smile on his face.
