The System Of Somatosensation

Night hunting proves to be one of the most dangerous thing I have ever done before. The monsters seems to come in waves and hey, they are more feral than the previous one.

I can feel my whole body getting tired as I keep the daggers attacking the monsters simultaneously. If not due to the darkness, the whole place might be already being painted in red with the carcasses of the enemies.

My throat also gets a bit hoarse after using [Sonic Shot] for quite a few times now. My mana seems to be depleting more and more and my body gets weaker and weaker as time goes by.

Ping!

One of the daggers that I brought with me got broken as it's blade got chipped off and irreparable now. With quick move, I replaced the broken dagger with a new dagger, repeated the slaughter. I can feel that I am drenched with blood already and I stink on it but I don't care, if it is for my family, I don't need to think about it. For my new found family, I will do everything.

ROAR!

A strong roar came in the deep forest and the place tremble just as the roar passes the trees and grasses. The waves of monsters also stopped coming and I was left standing in the pile of carcasses. Due to my system's trait, a slight disturbance to the area affects me greatly. I ready the two daggers. I got goosebumps just by listening to the rustles of the grasses although I don't believe in ghosts. This monster is clearly a strong one due to the fact that its roar can halt all of the monsters from attacking.

I check my surroundings again. This monster is clearly a night hunter and an excellent one at that since even with my heightened senses, I can't seem to detect him clearly. Then, before I can react, the trees above me shook violently and then...

ROAR!

I fell into my b.u.t.t to my surprise when a black colored tiger appeared. From the books that I read, this monster is called the Moonlight Shadow Tiger, and most of them are level 10 or above. Their powers is to enter the shadow and attack unsuspectingly. However, they don't bother that tactic if they saw the target is too weak. Seeing that this guy came from the treetops and not behind my shadow or anywhere, it was clear that it see me as a normal and weak kid, not worth the effort to hide and ambush.

The monster landed into the ground and with the two moons up in the sky shining brightly, I can see the look of the monster.

The Moonlight Shadow Tiger looks indeed like a tiger but instead of orange and black stripes, this one is all black like a black panther. What is more dangerous looking at this guy is that, its clearly bigger than the tigers I have seen on Earth, at least around the size of a rhinoceros. Its yellow eyes is similar to the full moons glow and it clearly glitters. Its teeth is similar to those saber-tooth tigers with those two fangs extending on its mouth. It has two tails in which it has two colors, a black and white tail.

Just by looking at it, its clearly showing its hostility on me. It keeps growling while circling around on me. Despite being a dangerous foe, I still keep my calm on this monster. Panicking will not bring anything good so I quickly dissipated the fear in my mind and calmly ready the daggers in both hands.

Seeing me devoid of fear, it hesitates to attack but its pair of yellow eyes are clearly showing glints of a predator looking at his prey during its last moment. Then, when it lose its patience, it lunges straight to me, baring its sharp fangs.

I quickly duck and roll away before the Moonlight Shadow Tiger can actually catch and kill me. I can't die again, not this time!

I brandish the dagger out and made a curve slash to the tiger as soon as I recover my footing after rolling.

SWISH!

The Moonlight Shadow Tiger slipped off into the shadow once I counterattacked. It actually managed to escape? Before I could react, it jump out of my shadow.

"Grawrr!"

It successfully attacked me out and it brought me down. The Moonlight Shadow Tiger toppled me down. And then, a panel appeared before me since the Moonlight Shadow Tiger touched me.

Skills:

1. Shadow Leap Level 10: user will be able to blend in to the shadows. User can see clearly what is happening outside when merged into the shadow. Can be used when necessary and doesn't need mana to use. The higher the level the longer the user can hide on the shadow.

2. Metal Cutting Bite Level 10: can bite through the hardest things. Enemies with strong defensive abilities are useless in this skill. The higher the level, the stronger the power of the skill.

3. Moonlight Claws Level 5: Can be used whenever the moons are out in the night sky. Can cause death to the target.

4. Agility Sprint Level 10: Can madly rush on target in a split second. Targets being chased are doomed to die.

Seeing the stats, I felt like I was dreaming, this is just too strong! I am helpless against this monster! Still, I struggled and open my mouth and activated my skill.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

My shout was clear and cloud causing the Moonlight Shadow Tiger to wail away from me. [Sonic Shout] is clearly strong.

"[Sonic Shout] has leveled up to level 2."

I struggled a bit when the system once again rang up.

"Warning: Host is bleeding badly. Needed immediate care. If not immediately stopped, the host will die in 20 minutes."

I disregarded the warning that came from my system. I focused on the panel that represented the stats of the Moonlight Shadow Tiger and stares on its skills. The Moonlight Shadow Tiger recovered faster than expected, but my eyes are still focused on one of its skill. And I grip my daggers tightly.

"Extract Shadow Leap."
