"Ah... so that's what happened… I was wondering why you appeared to be totally fine and healthy… so it just wasn't anything serious… that's a relief anyway, I was really worried about you last night... I mean you were covered in so much blood it was simply terrifying!" Letting out a breath of relief, Mina murmured.

Abruptly showing her a soft smile which stunned Mina momentarily, Kay proclaimed, "Anyway… thank you for saving my life. I'm greatly indebted to you now. If there is anything you would like in return, just ask me directly. There's no need to stand on ceremony or whatever."

In the meantime, unconsciously, this notion was passing through her head, 'What a bewitching smile… and… now that I'm having a closer look at his face, he's utterly beguiling… even more so than that umbrella man!' Abruptly realizing her strange thoughts at this point, shaking her head repeatedly much to the shock of Kay, she internally scolded herself, 'Wake up, Mina! Stop your foolish thoughts! So meaningless.'

No matter, seeing him telling her to 'ask for anything', she answered externally, "Um… no, no… there's no need to repay me, really. Anyone would've done the same in my shoes."

Although she was uttering those polite words outwardly, a different type of notion was passing through her head internally, 'You could always hire me though.' But of course, being the humble person she was, Mina would never utter that sentence out loud. That just wasn't her.

"How can that be… I dislike feeling indebted to anyone!" With a serious light shimmering through his blue eyes, Kay exclaimed.

"Ah… b-but, I really don't want anything in return." Frowning slightly, Mina replied.

Seeing her still insisting on her resolve of not asking for anything, he could only scowl back even deeper. Luckily, it didn't take long before he finally thought of a solution. Thus, putting his contact information card on the table, he voiced, "How about this, I'll take you out to dinner sometimes, you just remember to reply to this number and don't scold or hang on me like before."

Taking a momentary glimpse of the contact information placed on the table, shaking her head, Mina rejected respectfully, "I'm sorry, but I would rather not. Like I said already, we're cool."

'Who knows what's your true intentions for inviting me.' She concluded at the same time. Being already backstabbed by the people closest to her, she appeared to have become less trustful of people now.

Yet, clearly, Kay wasn't one to give up easily as he insisted further with a glower, "Please just accept it. I have no impure intentions for doing this. I just really can't stay indebted to someone. The word 'Indebted' doesn't exist in my dictionary. So if you don't want anything in particular, at least let me take you out to dinner and return the favor a bit."

Realizing how bothered he looked and getting the feeling that he was just going to remain determined on his decision until she accepted the card, casually grabbing it, she put it inside her bag while phrasing expressionlessly, "Alright."

'I just won't answer your call later on. Problem solved.' She decided at the same time.

Nodding in satisfaction to her acceptance, Kay opened his mouth again, "That's it then. I'll be leaving since I'm occupied with very important stuff right now. Also, about your interview… the result will be sent to your number later on."

"Goodbye." Standing up, he left the coffee shop after that. Leaving behind a silent Mina.

'The wheels are turning and already in motion now.' I, the goddess, discerned while observing Kay leaving the coffee shop quietly. Of course, it had been I, your dear Goddess, who had been reporting everything up to this point.
