Trials Of Love: The Romantic Goddess

Chapter 6 - The Second Test, Begins!

Hearing my words, since it was a part of my will, she instantly calmed down. Next, she began to look around once again as the white space around her began to catch her attention.

"This is the afterlife, my child." I said with a gentle smile appearing on my face.

"Afterlife?" For the first time since her appearance, she moved her spiritual lips.

"Yes… it is, my child." It's totally not, anyway I voiced, filled with grandeur.

"So afterlife really exists!" Listening to my words, intense light of hope began to fill her eyes as she thought, 'Yes! Kay… I'm going to meet you again soon!'

"Sigh… no, unfortunately, you're not going to meet him ever again my child, Scarlet…" I stated with some sadness appearing in my eyes… I'm faking it though… I totally lied, I mean I'm freaking God… what can't I do if I will it?

"Whyyyy!?!" Suddenly screaming very loudly, Scarlet questioned in utter despair once again.

"Sigh… since he was killed with a special kind of bullet which makes the soul disperse forever." Totally a lie again.

Listening to my words, suddenly, that ray of hope which was shining brightly in her eyes just a minute ago seemed to be forcefully put out as a deep abyss of despair replaced it instead as she thought, 'So… even when I kill myself… I'm still incapable of meeting him… Sigh… what's the point of existing then… I should ask God to…'

Just as she was about to complete that notion, interrupting her thought process, I vocalized, "Not so fast, my child! I'm not finished yet… so before you lose all hope… listen to me first!"

Still in despair as before, raising her head, Scarlet looked into my eyes with those dead eyes of hers as I continued, "You see… even though that Kay in your world is gone… there's another Kay still existing in another world which is somehow similar but also very different than the world you previously belonged to."

Listening to my words, in only a moment, intense light of hope began to appear in her eyes, though it disappeared as quick as it was sparked as she mouthed while shaking her head, "What's the use in that… it's not my Kay… so it doesn't make any difference… God please, erase my…"

"SILENCE!" Raising my voice for the very first time in seemingly great anger (though I wasn't really angry, this is just great acting from my part, hehe), I continued, "Don't you know acts like suicide and wanting to cease to exist is a great offense to your creator, I?!" This one's true though…

"And you even dared to commit suicide, I should be throwing you in hell if not for the fact I'm feeling really sad and sympathetic about what happened to the love of your life, who's last wish was for you to live a happy life!" It totally wasn't, he didn't think much before his death and I'm making things up again.

And I'm feeling sympathetic not because of that dead love of hers… I just feel a little bit guilty and responsible for the torments she had to experience only to die sooner than her time… so I'm going to make her live once again.

"Out of the sadness I'm feeling toward your love, Kay… I'm going to allow you to live once again by reincarnating you into another body… though it's a bit different than reincarnation too as it can't be considered a total reincarnation while it is also somewhat a reincarnation… anyway, you'll understand it soon enough." I began to explain my next course of actions to her.

"It doesn't matter! Nothing matters anymore! Please, just erase me from existence." She begged with great determination.

"Sigh… that's not going to happen my child…" I voiced with sadness coursing through my eyes.

"Even if you reincarnate me… I'll just kill myself once again and continue doing that until you erase me… so, please, God… there's nothing else for me to live, I simply don't want to exist in a world where Kay doesn't exist anymore." With the darkness of despair sparkling in her eyes, she pronounced with a great deal of determination.

"Don't you worry… since you won't remember a thing about our meeting, so you won't actually ever know that Kay's soul has been destroyed… anyway, enough with the chitchat, since it seems talking to you was a complete waste of my time… let's get this over with right now, bye." As I said this, I willed her to go unconscious as she passed out and then, her soul began to change into a ball of light which began to fly over as it hovered right beside me.

Sigh… anyway, although things didn't quite progress in the way I wanted to… let's just get this over with and begin the second experiment.

For the second experiment… hmm, I've already decided upon another parallel world, much divergent compared to the previous one as they actually have some major differences between them.
