Unfortunate Romance

A team of men shivered in fear as they stood in the hotel room, eyes trained on the floor. They dared not look up, feeling the penetrating dark gaze boring into their souls.

A man sat before them like an emperor, his icy presence chilling the room like a snowstorm. He stared the guards before him, eyes heavy.

"Where?"

The single word submerged the team leader's soul in icy water.

"Boss, we're really sorry!" He desperately wanted to cry. The boss had been taken advantage because of them last night and now the perpetrator had vanished! They were on the 8th floor so why couldn't she leave through the door like a normal person? The lass had climbed out the balcony and escaped!

She got away happily, but left them with an angry demon in the morning. His shoulder was still aching from the kick she gave him last night too. If the boss was to punish them . . . he shivered.

"Bro!" The door slammed open and a young man with a wide grin burst in. "I heard you got molested ー why is it so cold in here?" He gulped as his brother shot him a death glare, then looked at the miserable state of the guards.

The team leader was shooting him desperate looks. Second young master, please help!

"Don't tell me she ran away . . ." the young man trailed off as the atmosphere got colder. He shivered.

"Brother~brother did you two . . . " He gestured gleefully with his hands. The ice demon's face remained dark. "No? But she stayed the entire night . . . don't tell me you just slept . . . such a beauty . . . if mother finds out about this she really will think you are gay." He muttered.

"Shut up."

The young man instantly clammed up. His eyes wandered over to the nightstand, where a check was left. He snatched it up.

"Boss," another guard rushed in, "All the hotel security feeds were wiped. We can't locate her. It is likely that she booked the room above." The ice demon tapped his fingers.

"Trace her." Saved! All the guards immediately rushed out of the room like the devil was behind them.

"Brother, this . . . " The young man handed the ice demon the check, struggling not to laugh. Five hundred in USD. His elder brother was actually thought to be a gigolo . . .

The ice demon's eyes twitched. Crumbling the check, his eyes gleamed.

Little fox, no matter where you run, I'll always find you.

The young man observed his older brother. "Bro, did you fall for her?" The faint smile on his brother's face shocked him. "You like her!"

Internally, he cried tears of joy. His mother had been hounding them to get married for ages. She had introduced many socialites to his elder brother, but he remained indifferent to all. She had even tried men . . .

When everything failed, she turned her attention to him instead, deeming older brother helpless.

But now his elder brother was interested in a girl! A great gift had fallen from the sky hehe.

The young man smiled deviously. He just had to tell his mother and she would go back to bothering brother instead.

But . . . it was a pity the girl ran away. He pounded his fist. "Don't worry brother, I will find this girl for you no matter what." This was a matter about his happiness . . . and his brother's of course.

"I will marry her."

The young man's eyes popped open. So he was getting a sister-in-law already? Did they really do nothing last night? He really needed to tell the family fast!

The ice demon stared out the window. The sun shone down on the bustling city. He stood up. "We're leaving."

"Back to China? What about sister-in-law?"

The ice demon stepped out the door. "She spoke Mandarin yesterday."

The young man raised his head in realization. "So she is probably Chinese." He pulled out his phone. "This hotel is the closest to the airport and there was a flight 1 hour ago to City A. Bro, you think she went back to China!" He concluded. If she did go to China, they likely could find her easier.

Looks like he would get a sister-in-law soon!
