Chapter 490: Rebirth from the Ashes: Wen Ya Naer

The luxurious car stopped under the steps of the Governor's Mansion. After the waiter opened the door for the passengers, the petite girl got out from the back seat. She held the waiter's hand and stood on the street in front of the Governor's Mansion.

She has been here many times, sometimes by herself, sometimes with Jack, but most of the time, it is not as lively as it is today.

The garden in front of the Governor's Mansion is full of various luxurious private cars, and the floating cars are constantly flying back and forth in the air, carrying a car of distinguished men and women dressed in colorful clothes, ostentatiously passing through the market.

They rushed up the stairs from all around and walked towards the gate of the Governor's Mansion. The girl looked around at the bustling noble guests, and the waiter nodded to her humbly.

"Miss Wen Ya Naer, please over there, Master Jack is waiting for you."

Wen Yanaer nodded to him, picked up her skirt and walked up the stairs. The waiter was right. After she passed through the crowd and hustle and bustle, Jack found her at the colonnade in front of the gate and rushed over with a wave.

"Nal, why did you come here?" Jack seemed to complain, as if he was in a hurry.

"As a lady who only received your urgent call within half an hour, it is already a miracle that I can find the right clothes and put on makeup within half an hour, okay?"

Wen Yanaer protested, "You don't want my hair to be messy, so I just come in this pajamas, right? I have the same makeup as a clown painted on my face."

"Well, that seems quite interesting, oh, it's not this." Jack said, with an excited expression on his face, he stepped forward and pressed Lu Jianzhuang's shoulder and said.

This startled Wen Yanaer. Although Jack was always so carefree, he would not directly touch his skin except his hands. He had only kissed himself once so far.

But today, Jack is obviously quite excited, more energetic than ever, so Wen Ya Naer intends to hear what he is excited about first.

"They are coming!"

"What them?" Wen Ya Naer asked puzzledly, "Speak clearly, who?"

"Didn't you see the fleet in orbit?" Jack asked back, while Wen Ya Naer looked up at the sky with a smile, and there was a dense haze.

"Unfortunately, the Mechanicum's factories always bring us beautiful smoggy days."

Wen Ya Naer finished speaking, Jack also noticed his stupidity, he blushed slightly with shame, then cleared his throat, and spoke righteously.

"Then, let me introduce to you, the Supreme Marshal of the Empire, the Lord of Lightning, the Golden Legend, the visit of Vito Constantine, the King of Astartes."

"What?"

"What, he's coming! Vito Constantine is here! Let's hear the Vito Constantine in the story, he brought a whole army of sky fighters, the Astartes Army, to us There! It's inside!"

Jack said eagerly, with a child-like look in his eyes. Although he was indeed a child and he was a child, after all, he was half a year older than him, so he was more calm.

After a while, Wen Ya Naer took some time to understand Jack's meaning, and then looked around at the guests. They entered the hall under the watchful eyes of the guards, and the bustling sound was accompanied by lights from the windows.

"I didn't see the Astartes, didn't he come with a guard?"

"Bring it, bring it, that's why I asked you to come, you said you wanted to see the Astartes, right? It was the last time we looked at the illustrations in the library."

As Jack spoke, he took Wen Ya Naer's hand, and the two warm hands were held together.

"Come on, they're inside, the marshal has agreed to see you." He grabbed Wen Ya Naer and walked in, ignoring her still lifting her skirt to avoid being stepped on.

"Hurry up! He's waiting for us!"

Jack was quite excited, Wen Yanaer looked at her wrinkled skirt with a sad expression, and then cast a complaining look at Jack, but when she saw his smiling face, the complaint in Wen Yanaer's heart also disappeared. Then it disappeared.

She let Jack pull her through the entrance of the governor's mansion. The guard outside the door naturally recognized the little master here, and no one asked them like other distinguished guests and let them pass.

Jack took his hand and led him through the crowd, passed the Governor's corridor and the main hall, passed the side garden with the noise, and then turned into a remote corridor that was rarely visited by people.

"Wait, Jack, what are we doing here?" Vinya Narfa asked, feeling like they were two little mice sneaking into a banquet kitchen.

"Hiding people, damn it, my aunt invited everyone, I mean, everyone." Jack said annoyedly, "including my uncle's family, the Emperor, why is their car not in the middle of the road?" Break down on the road, or just blow up?"

"Jack."

"What? They don't like you, don't they? So don't speak for them."

"I didn't, but he is your uncle after all, right? And even if you don't consider this, his family has considerable wealth. If you become the governor, they will be willing to let that money be used for you."

"And another nasty wife." Jack murmured, as if to make sure he didn't hear, but he did.

He took Wen Ya Naer through the quiet side corridor, and got out from behind a gate. Wen Ya Naer took him by the hand and came to the outside of the banquet hall where singing and dancing were performed. Vaulted corridors, high ceilings and huge walls are like being in a church.

"Jack? How did you get out of here?"

A laughing female voice said, Jack cursed in a low voice, he should have avoided it after all, and he looked at her with a forced smile.

"Hello, cousin, I didn't expect you to come too."

Wen Yanar looked over, it was Jack's cousin, that is, Tierfan's daughter, Yarfan, with the same proud, arrogant and annoying aristocratic atmosphere as her father.

She was a few years older than Jack, and taller. Like Jack, she had gray hair, green eyes, and delicate facial features, although in Wen Yanale's opinion, the makeup powder was too thick.

Yarfan was wearing a dress that would not be enough to describe it as luxurious, followed by a group of ladies from noble families, who lightly waved the fan in his hand and shielded his face.

"Of course, how can I miss this kind of banquet?" She said and walked up, "This is her?"

She said in a bitter tone, looked Wen Ya Naer up and down, with a mocking smile on her lips, and the noble girls behind her also laughed secretly.

"It's really a commoner's dress. Tell me, cousin, did she meet you in that brothel?"

"Enough, Yarfan, I won't allow you to humiliate my fiancée like this!" Jack immediately shielded himself, blocking himself, facing his cousin who was a head taller than him.

People always say that girls grow faster than boys, and this sentence is true. Among the people present, only Wen Yanar can look at Yarfan as an equal.

"Yes, the ex-fiancée, no matter what, I will replace her anyway." Yarfan stepped forward, smelled it and blocked the fan in front of him, showing a disgusted expression.

"My lord, is that the smell of motor oil? Oh, I forgot, her family bought a car, just like my maintenance servant."

Her words caused the noble girls to laugh, but Wen Ya Naer was not provoked, she looked at Yarfan calmly, with a cold light in her eyes.

"Indeed, I like to contribute to the family by myself, but what about you? Have you learned to eat with a fork? Or do you need a servant to feed you?"

Yarfan showed displeasure at Wen Yanar's irony. Obviously, it wasn't that she couldn't accept the irony, but that she couldn't accept being overwhelmed by a girl from a commoner background.

"I won't know as much as you, commoner, soon he will forget you, you will go back to repair your car, and I, will become his fiancée and wife, my family, pure noble blood will replace Your low blood."

Yarfan approached Wen Yanar and said, Jack immediately stood between the two of them and in front of his fiancée.

"Yarfan, since you are my cousin, we are blood relatives, so I will forgive you and get out of here now! Otherwise, I will ask the guards to drive you out."

Yarfan stopped, she stood in front of Jack, taller than him.

She closed her fan, bent down and smiled close to Jack's face, "Of course, it's all up to you, my dear fiance."

"I'm not your fiancé, and you won't be my fiancée, now, leave." Jack looked quite courageous today, and he spoke like a governor a lot, maybe he got it after meeting the marshal. His approval brought confidence to his fiancé.

"It will be, remember dear, our family motto is 'Blood is better than sword'"

After she finished speaking, she straightened up, glanced at Wen Yana, then turned and walked away, leading her little followers, "When playing with her, she might get pregnant and leave an illegitimate child, but that would be bad."

Angrily, Jack wanted to scold back, but Wen Yanaer stopped him.

"Okay, Jack, don't be as knowledgeable as her, she's just a spoiled aristocratic girl."

"But she humiliated you!"

"I know, but you protected me, right? That's enough." Wen Ya Naer showed a warm smile, seeing that smile, Jack gradually calmed down, he nodded slightly, and took Wen Ya Naer's hand .

"Come on, he's waiting for us."

"And maybe we can tell the marshal what happened just now. I'll see how her father will answer in front of the marshal."

"Jack."

Before Wen Yanaer could say anything about his childish behavior, the big boy took his hand and ran forward quickly. Wen Yanaer was holding his skirt, and a faint smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.
