Warring Kingdoms: Birth Of The Dark Elves

As Alex went to sleep in his encampment, a notification awoke him instantly:

'+2 to legend score, the user has been credited with the razing of Basingultch, Unknown wizard fears the Wrath's rapidly growing power.'

Alex pondered who it could be, he then remembered the apprentice who stated she would go and report the Wrath's activities to her master. Alex assumed that the Wizard that was now aware of him would be her master. Alex then opened his odyssey page to see if he got anymore bonuses, after all he was told that the heroes of the Auyukesta Kingdom would be looking out for him and had the power to kill him with just a look.

Wrath of the Elves:

Saving the shrine maiden of the Southern Elf Tribe has seen the user added to their Heroes Pavilion as the hero of wrath. Each time an Elf prays to you, you will receive their prayer.

Following the Shrine maiden's possession by the ancient witch, you have declared the Southern Elf tribe to no longer exist and have incorporated those willing into your group. Alarmed by your sudden appearance, a mysterious wizard has began putting plans together encase you threaten his kingdom going forwards.

Current rewards: +40 loyalty with the Southern Elves, -20 relations with the Auyukesta Kingdom and 3 Legend score, -20 relations with an unknown character.

The Silence:

The Mercenary group known as the Silence has been credited with the razing and looting if the town of Basingultch along with their leader, the Elven Wrath. News of the groups deeds has began to spread, mainly through the information network of the mercenary guild. Responses to the act are mixed with Elven veterans happy that someone is taking the fight directly to the Auyukesta kingdom. While the various Human kingdoms saw this as an act of terrorism, other suppressed kingdoms saw this an example on how they could gain their freedom.

Current Rewards: +30 relations with Demi Human Kingdoms, -30 with Human Kingdoms, 2 Legend score.

Alex was extremely happy and intrigued by both the fact he got a rare perk but also because the name of both him and his group was beginning to spread, this would drastically help when he decides to make his own kingdom. He wouldn't be considered a weak and upstart king, his name would at least mean something before he rose to the throne. Alex glanced down the list of the perks he could select

Perk List:

Darkness Incarnate: The user excels in combat in the darkness, gain 200%damage when fighting in the dark. Gain the Class Darkness Arch Mage, gain the speciality necromancy and gain 100% extra experience in the night.

Aspiring King; The chance of successfully recruiting new troops is increased massively, can convert Elves into Dark Elves with their consent. Gain the Class Prince of the Dark Elves, gain the speciality Inspiring Leader, get 100% bonus experience when fighting with your subjects.

Merciless Slayer: The user fights to kill, 200% damage to attacks that land on an opponents vital areas. Gain the Class Slayer, gain the speciality 'Killer'. Gain 100% bonus exp per kill you get.

Alex was unsure which on he should pick, he instantly disregarded merciless slayer as It depended on him changing his fighting style to much, he wanted more spells and assumed that the Arch Mage class would give it to him. He also thought that converting the Elves to Dark Elves would help him in the future as it would allow them to use darkness magic. Unable to make a choice,Alex decided he would simply flip a gold coin, first he chipped away at one side of it so they wee different and flipped the coin.

The coin landed on the clear side which meant that Alex would be gaining the Darkness Incarnate perk, as soon as he clicked on the screen to confirm it, all of the lights in the camp were extinguished by shadows. The shadows then moved towards Alex and bowed at his feet, Alex satisfied with his choice checked out the benefits that the Perk had given him.

Alex's Status Page changes:

New Class Darkness Arch Mage: The User's body has began to absorb the darkness from the night, becoming one with the shadows itself. This allows the user to channel new forms of darkness magic, as the class levels up, more spells will become available to the User.

New Speciality unlocked Necromancy: This is a new spell tree under the Darkness magic tree, the user has now got a connection to the dead, allowing them to manipulate souls and summon undead. As this speciality levels up, stronger spells and summons will become available to the user.

New Passive Ability, The Reaper: The user gains 200% extra damage during the night.

Two new spells:

Shadow Bodyguards, Allows the user to summon shadows that will fight and die for the user. The shadows are able to interact with anything that casts its own shadow,deals extra damage to those who do not expect to be attacked.

Summon Skeleton Soldiers: Allows the user to summon weak skeleton soldiers, these soldiers will get stronger the more the spell is used, the spell can also be mutated to allow for stronger summons.

Satisfied with his giant leap in strength Alex went to sleep after summoning a few shadow bodyguards to keep guard over himself and the camp. As the sun rose, the darkness of the night was slowly entering the body of Alex instead of vanishing, Alex awoke to feeling significantly stronger physically than he was when he went to sleep.

He slightly nodded his head to himself and approached the main camp, when he arrived he walked up to Eva and said" You will be coming into the town with me, we need to scout it out encase the Auyukesta Kingdom comes looking for us, we will also need to go to the Mercenary guild and accept a contract so we can buy more weapons, I plan to mass recruit while I'm in the town. I'm going to get prepared, go and tell the other commanders that we are leaving and that they should continue training the troops while we are out."
