Worlds Conquering Necromancer

The next day, Emily informed everybody about the town's name at a morning meeting.

"This place was built with the cave as the starting point, also we are numerous enough to call ourselves a small town, so Cavetown is the most fitting name." said Emily.

Even though there were some dissatisfied voices, the majority approved it. After discussing about the expected harvest quality and quantity, education of the newly hatched kobolds and the sewage system completion level, the meeting was going to end, when an archer came in with haste.

"Master, we spotted a group of nine humans approaching the town. What are your instructions?"

Everybody in the room had a surprised face with the exception of Emily who smiled a little.

"Open the gate and don't open fire first, lets take them in and try to talk. Ramiya, Robell and Leyla will meet them with me. Tell the rest to act as usual but be on full alert."

"Yes, master." said the archer and ran to inform the others.

"Elise, whose forces do you think are staying there?" asked Kieron.

"I don't know. The walls are made with earth magic for sure and the troops on lookout are pretty capable and numerous, but they don't have any flag or crest to show their affiliation. It doesn't look like Themo soldiers or elves, so it should be a base of another country or bandits. Nonetheless, we have to find out and report to the guilds if there's anything dangerous."

"Look, they opened the gate!" pointed out one of them.

"We will go in, but be ready to fight and escape at any moment." said Elise.

"Understood."

When they got near the town they could clearly see that the soldiers on the walls were skeletons. The adventurers had a panicked expression, but still went through the gate.

"Welcome, dear guests. My name is Emily and I'm this town's, Cavetown, master. May I know the cause of your arrival?"

"I'm Elise, this adventurers team leader. We took a request to kill some goblins in the north of Bykora forest and accidentally found this place. We harbor no ill intentions."

"Good. Let me show around and then you can decide if you want to stay here for a night. Our settlement is a little unusual compared to others, so better brace yourself."

"Alright..."

Emily first showed them the cultivation fields, and the adventurers got shocked seeing goblins women working on them.

Next were the goblins training ground, where they were training against her strongest undead, the vampires. The group got scared of the power that they showed.

'One of those can easily annihilate our group if taken by surprise, and in a face to face confrontation we don't have that many chances either. It's two times stronger than me, a B rank adventurer, and even though there are only five of them here, they must have a lot more.'

Next they visited the kobolds room. Instead of Sparky there was another fire magician maintaining the needed temperature. Also, some of the eggs already hatched and some goblin women had to take care and feed the small, cute things. Once again the group got taken aback by another type of monsters living in this small town.

"Well, for now that's everything interesting in Cavetown. Have you decided if you want to stay here yet?"

"Of course, if we won't be a nuisance to you all..."

"Then let me guide to your room. Elise, are you adventurers from Themo Kingdom?"

"Yes. Me and Kieron are from the capital while the rest are from all around the kingdom. We met at the adventurers guild and decided to team up."

"Hmm... Interesting, but why did you become an adventurer?"

"I'm good only at fighting and I still have to make a living, so I had to choose between the army and the guild. The guild gives you more freedom than the army, even though it's more dangerous sometimes."

"Then I'll be straightforward here, do you want to become my men? I can promise you enough food and money, and in the future you might get the position of a commander or even a noble title, but, of course, only if you're competent enough. You can also bring your families to live here. There is no discrimination and they will be under good protection. What do you think?"

The first to speak was the group's fire magician, Faust.

"Really now, who do you think you are? Give us a noble title? Give us a high post? You consider yourself a queen? Stop this bulls-"

"Faust!" interrupted Elise.

"What?!"

"Look around..."

Around 300 vampires, the kobold king and queen included, were surrounding them, baring their teeth and claws, making dangerous growling noises.

"W-We're f.u.c.k.e.d..." said Faust trembling.

"Don't worry, they won't attack without my orders, but you better choose carefully your words. Now about your questions. I plan on taking the throne of Themo kingdom to myself and I will have soon the necessary army for that. I just though that you would like take a part of the cake too." said Emily, finally reaching the guests room. "Elise, let's have a talk alone. The rest can go and prepare for sleep."

"O-Ok."

They went to Emily's room to discuss further.

"So, what do you think about my proposal?"

"It's a good one for sure, but your manpower is still lacking. You need a bigger and stronger army. Those guys are on par with an A rank adventurer, but there are also S grade adventurers and the army has strong individuals, too. They are more numerous than your forces." said Elise.

"Well, I'm not planning to attack right now. My army is getting stronger day by day and I have strong individuals too. I think they will be a match for the S rank. Though, I wouldn't like to fight the adventurers, I plan on making a kingdom without discrimination, where all races and monsters will live together in piece."

"Do you have the support of any nobel houses or other forces of the kingdom? It will be much easier that way."

"I know, I thought about it already and made some preparations. So, will you become my men?"

Elise assessed the situation a bit and then accepted Emily as her master.

"Yes, master. From now on, I and my group are under your command."

"Good!" said Emily with a smile.

"Please master, don't punish Faust. He is from a noble family and is arrogant and easily fires up, but he is not a bad person."

"Don't worry, I'm not a small-minded person. Go and tell them your decision, we'll talk more tomorrow."

'It's time for the next step of my plan. Everything is going as planned...'
