Worlds Conquering Necromancer

Chapter 31 - The Decision

"Now then, let's resurrect Orgug. He must be powerful, too." she said, hoping that Orgug didn't get the same title as Cast, as he as well died in a quite shameful way.

"Master!" saluted the new Orgug, kneeling in front of Emily.

'Thank god he's normal. That means I could target this weak point without care.' she thought to herself.

"Welcome, Orgug. I expect great achievements from you. Don't disappoint me." Once the rest of the newcomers saw him they wore a fearful, unbelieving expression. They knew that Emily said she would resurrect them, even more, she already had an army of undead, but they couldn't believe she could control even Orgug, the one they once served and feared. The rest of the Cavetown citizens were unaffected by this at all. They knew that their master was powerful and would believe everything she said to them, no matter how absurd it was.

At the Cavetown council meeting.

"We should decide now what will be our next target. We can either conquer all the forest monster's territories or go to war against the Themo Empire first. I want to hear your opinions and maybe other possibilities." Emily said to the council members.

"Why not conquer the forest first, gaining more followers from there, then take care of the empire?" asked Urul. He thought that killing the weakest enemy should be the priority, increasing their numbers and decreasing the chance that someone would attack Cavetown while the war is raging.

"I agree with the newcomer, it would be the best course of action." said one of the council members.

"Yeah, me too. That's the best option we have." said another one. Most of the council had the same opinion until Ramiya's turn came.

"You remember that further west we have the overlord of this forest, right? Do you really think the forest dragon would let you go wild in his territory? What if he snaps and decides to kill us?" she said in a somewhat frustrating tone.

"Of course, Emily is powerful. Her subordinates, you, are powerful too, but we have no chance to win against a dragon at this point in time. We must get stronger before we decide to take him on. The best choice would be to either leave him in peace and conquer the empire, or to make a nonaggression pact with him before attacking the empire. Dragons are a wise race. Even though they are quite prideful, they could speak a lot of languages. Not that we need to know any language since the undead could speak with their souls." she said, looking expectantly at Emily.

'This girl...' Emily thought. The room got silent entirely, understanding the grave mistake they were about to make. Emily walked near Ramiya and started patting her head.

'Woah... Bliss... I'm in heaven..' similar thoughts were popping up in Ramiya's head at that moment. She had a face of pure bliss.

"That means we have to choose a person to represent us in the negotiation with the dragon. Should we-" said Urul, but was interrupted midway.

"We don't have to choose any representative. You heard what kind of creatures the dragons are, right? Would it even talk to a representative? At most, he will let him come back alive. I will go and talk with him myself." she said, stopping the pats she gave Ram.

"No, you can't! You promised to take me with you next time you go anywhere. I'm not going to let you go if you won't take me too!" Ram said, pouting and hugging her. She used this occasion to inhale sneakily Emily's scent and imprint it into her memory.

*Sniff Sniff

Even though Emily was an undead, vampires weren't your typical undead. They had specific parts of their body that worked. For example, they had a working stomach and heart, which worked after they drank blood. They could use their tongue and vocal chords to speak, too. If they didn't have fangs and their bodies weren't cold, they wouldn't be that different from a human.

The council started to whisper quietly about how they show their affection in public and what a sweet pair they were. Pretty much everyone considered Emily already taken, so that wasn't that big of a surprise for them. As for Emily, she was used to similar behavior from her life on Earth. Patting or hugging wasn't considered as something indecent between girls and was happening on a daily basis between friends.

"Alright, I get it. Are you sure you want to go with me? There is the risk of dying there, so you better think twice before agreeing." said Emily in a serious manner.

"Of course I'm sure about it~. A promise is a promise, after all, so we will have to go alone on this trip!" she said full of vigor.

"We could come with-" wanted to say Urul, but he fell silent seeing Ram's vicious glare. It was as if she was going to eat him alive. 'Why does this weak girl exude such a scary aura at times?' he thought.

Ram then glared at every single one that was going to propose to accompany them, making them go silent too. 'Why so many people want to destroy our first date!!! These people are rouges that don't know what love is at all.' she thought, clearly annoyed. After she decided to follow Emily, she has mainly taken care of administrative or similar jobs, not having enough time to spend together with her. Here finally comes a chance and others want to destroy it.

"Ok, I might as well take you with me. It will show our sincerity in wanting to negotiate peacefully rather than wage war. Meanwhile, tell me everything you know about the dragon race. Let's move to another place. Meeting finished." she said to Ram walking towards her room.

"Wait for me~!" Ramiya shouted from the back.

"Urul," said Baz, after the girls were gone for a couple of minutes, "I said not to quarrel with Ramiya, didn't I?"

"Well, you actually didn't say anything about it!! How can a small human girl exude such a fierce aura? I think my whole being felt fear..." said Urul, clearly in shock.

"Whoops, my bad then. She was always overloaded with work since forever, so now that she could be alone with master she didn't want to waste the chance. You must learn to understand girls, man. How are you going to find yourself a wife in the future?"

Urul blushed a little after this question, "That's none of your business, Baz. Better go check how the guys are doing."

'Poor thing... I genuinely hope you'll get at least a girlfriend in your whole life...' thought Baz.
