Worlds Conquering Necromancer

Chapter 37 - General Situation

They reached Cavetown way faster than planned thanks to Anan's group. On the way, the group met some small kobold parties, but they didn't dare to attack a group escorted by the forest protectors. At the entrance to the town, Emily instructed the guards to leave the protectors pass in case they come here again. While she was doing this, the news about her safe return resounded through the whole town. The executives and those free at that moment all came to meet her.

"Welcome home, our Queen!" said the goblins, kobolds, orcs, and other folk and their respective heads, kneeling. Even Elise's group was there.

"My Queen!" said Bob and her other undead commanders, also kneeling. It was a sight to behold, as every single soul showed their loyalty towards their ruler.

'Looks like they named me a queen already, even though we don't have a kingdom yet. These guys...' Emily was touched by this. While she was away, Leyla and Elise took care of the administrative work, education, while the vampires and the commanders of other races took care of the military training.

*Awoooo!

From the crowd, a bigger puppy warg came rushing towards Emily. It was Snowy, recognizing her owner and wanting more tasty treats. She jumped in her embrace and started to lick her face passionately.

"Ok, ok! I get it, you glutton. I missed you too, now get down!" Emily ordered her pet in a funny manner. Once Snowy got down, Emily gave her a tasty treat which she ate with p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. Soon, from the crowd came someone else, approaching Emily.

It was Pinky, the kobold queen that considered her as a mother. Even though kobolds grow very fast, becoming a.d.u.l.ts in around a week, their queen was of a higher race, so she needed more time to grow. At that moment, she had the appearance of an adolescent kobold, just with pink-colored scales. She was wearing a pretty white dress that the sewing women made for her.

Pinky hugged Emily and said with teary eyes, "Welcome back, Mum..."

'Looks like I'm a mother already...' thought Emily. Seeing as she was about to cry, she took out of her inventory several strawberry-like fruits. She found them on the way to Zeo and back and decided to collect some, storing in her inventory some other plants, too. Putting one fruit directly into Pinky's mouth, she hugged her saying, "I'm back now, and next time I'll take you with me, I promise."

After Pinky calmed down, Emily ordered to gather the council once again. She had to report what happened with her mission and also give new orders. The council gathered fast, as nearly everyone was already present to greet her.

At the council meeting.

"That's what happened. The mission is a succes." said Emily. "We've got a powerful ally, so pay attention not to harm any of the creatures under Zazzeos's protection." The others nodded, understanding the importance of the matter.

"Now then, tell me the general situation of Cavetown since when I went to the dungeon." she addressed all those present.

"Then let me tell you everything while Jagga is writing the report on population," said Glukz standing up from his chair. "Because of the new addition to our population, we need to expand our borders once again. We need land for agriculture and to build new homes. The newcomers are now going through the general education courses, the ogres and trolls children included. Three spider egg pouches finally split, so we put them each in a room made specially for them. We would give them the meat and water they need to grow, instead of letting them eat each other, thus softening their wild nature. The wargs are being looked after as before, the puppies growing up little by little. That's pretty much all... Oh, and some spy groups will soon arrive." he said, trying not to forget anything.

"Good. We need a new group of workers now, though. After expanding the territory again, we will have to plant a lot of trees at the forest's borders. The group of workers will be accompanied by the treants that would help the trees grow faster using plant magic, and also protect the group," said Emily, making a thinking pose.

"Understood, I'll take care of this. Jagga, are you finished?"

"Yes." Jagga finished scribbling something on a piece of paper and pushed it on the table's surface towards Emily.

The report looked like this:

"I understand why the numbers were rounded, but what is this for?" asked Emily smiling then showed the paper to all those present. Glukz was the first to flare up.

"Jagga, why the f.u.c.k have you drawn a cat and a dog?!" Glukz was really pissed off, as that was an important time to show his capabilities.

"You were still talking, what could I do? Also, I really like to draw animals, you've got something against it?!" It wasn't that hard to make paper with all the mages Emily had. It was something unusual for Jagga, and since Emily showed him once how to draw on it, he got passionate by it.

"Leave him be, guys. He did nothing that bad. One more question, Jagga, what's with the "Still alive but dead inside" thing?" She asked, bewildered. Unexpectedly, Leyla was the one who answered.

"Well, do you remember when you just conquered the cave? There were some prisoner girls of other races then goblins together with me. You decided to use them as baby factories instead of killing or helping them..."

"Hmm... Now that you mentioned it, I remember something like this. We have a lot of people now, so we have no need to keep them. I'll kil then resurrect them." Emily decided once again that it would take too much time and effort to bring them back to normal, but letting them be would be bad for the moral aspect of her men. "Anything else?"

"No, that's pretty much everything." said Glukz.

"Allright, the council ends here then. Well done!" Emily said, then left the room.
