Beyond The World Plan

Three years has past since I saved Lily. Nothing much happen. After all in this forest only have slime and wolf.

Recently I checked Erta village condition. Someone is rebuilding this village. I want to go there and ask. However, it will be weird if someone come out from forest and asking this village like know more what happen three years ago.

So it still a mistery who rebuid it. Maybe it is someone who attacked the village and make the 'Incident'. All I know, there was nothing like frenzy bear live there. Father told me only goblin, orc, and slime in the forest. Good, now I remember the training.

Now I am in the room that I found inside the cave. I and Lily currently packaging and get ready to leave this cave. Finally, I can get out from this forest after postponed it several times.

"Is everything ready?" (Ray)

"Yeah, we can go whenever we want, master." (Lily)

She answer me with a sweet voice.

"Didn't I told you to not call me like that." (Ray)

I blushes and kinda over reacting to it.

"I am sorry, but it never bored me to see your reaction, Ray" (Lily)

Damn this girl if I know she will enjoy teasing me, I will make her do the hell training from my father.

"Well, whatever. Now let me remind you, we will go to nearest big town you said before, Razel. We will join as an adventurer and aiming to become A-Rank adventurer." (Ray)

According to what Lily said, it will take 3 more days to arrive at Razel. Actually, we can arrive in 1 day. But we agreed to not doing that because that will make a commotion.

"I know that. We will aim it with the less suspicous way to avoid any problem. It always like that, you really hate attention." (Lily)

She said that while taking two small bags and bring one of them to me.

"It's not like that. If we suddenly become an A-Rank, it will become a commotion and make us hard to move from town because they will always count on us." (Ray)

I take my bag from Lily and wear it while sighing. It sure make us hard to achieve our goal.

"You got the point. So, what quest we will take?" (Lily)

Here come the main question. After remembering a while, the quest guild provide is divided to three: collecting, escort, and subjugation. And what will we take is

"We will take subjugation quest that available. Every single of them. If we can accomplished it continously to become A-Rank, many people will acknowledge us. That will be an advantage and make us move easier." (Ray)

Another thing that must known. This world divided to four territories. Each territory belong to one race. West is human, east is beastkin, north is elf, and south belong to demon race.

However the territory that demon have is the smallest between three other race. It will be easy to conclude that demon attack to raise their territory. Or so they tought.

There must be a reason behind it. And for that, I must go to each territories including demon territory and reveal the truth, that is my goal.

After I got all information needed, I will make a decision for what will I do. This will be hard, but I must do this to make a better world. I missed the peaceful life I had before.

What's wrong with my mind. It feels like there was two different person inside me. I have made a test to see is there any other soul inside my body but nothing wrong.

Well whatever, all I can do now is just believe that we can make a peaceful world like inside my mind. Once again, this will be hard journey.

We take our equipment. For me, I will use two daggers. The right one enchance with adamantine dragon, mithril lizard and slime core that will raise it power. And for the left one is iron shell crab, metal wyvern, and slime core too that will raise the endurance during a clash.

The reason I use slime core is they are the most powerful conductor for magic with proficiency 97%. It very different if we use another core. They commonly conduct 20 - 65% magic energy.

And for Lily she will use a curve sword called 'Katana', a kind of blade that can be found in Takeru's former world. Her speed is the most prominent than other stats. Her katana enchance with fang wolf, wind fierry, and slime core. It will strengthen the sword and increase the sharpness when she in high speed.

And I manage to master one more art, that is <Fusion Art>. From it name you can told that this art is to combine two different spell and make it a stronger together.

The bag I use is more or less a disguise to my [Dimension Storage] since Lily told me that spell is a legend and only a hero who can use it.

There is a bag that known as magic bag. So in simple, it is same as [Dimension Storage] but limited in capacity. It will reduce the suspicious toward us.

Allright, all thing has been settled down. Finally go outside the cave and this forest. This will be a long journey. However this will be a new step and the beginning for this world since us has made decision to bring the "True Peace" to this world.

"Let's go to our first step out the forest!" (Ray)

We went out from cave and take a path to the main road. This forest still have lot of wolves and slimes, but they are not even trying to approach us.

After three years hunting here, they are probably know that we are the most dangerous creature that they have ever seen. In other word, we are on top of the food chain and they are the hunted one.

Well, its more easy to move without worrying about getting attacked. Seems like we are almost outside the forest.

The outside of forest there are a big road and a big grass plain. We take a walk to Razel City following the main road.

"It is sure a good thing we are here. At least we got a new thing to look beside trees and bushes." (Ray)

"Yeah, and the most I enjoy is be able with you." (Lily)

"Uhmm... yeah, sure." (Ray)

Right now, she is holding my hand and clinging on me. This behavior of her is nothing change since we met. It's very annoying at first, but now I am happy too if she like this.

After all we are still thirteen, even I want to say it but now is not the right time.

We take a break at noon because it's a lunch time. I take out the wolf meat from my bag and Lily will cook it. Ah, I can't wait it. Lily is very good at cooking. Even some menu that she never cooked before is delicious.

During that time, there was sound of carriage come closer in high speed. Seems like he is a merchant. His carriage  is being chased by around twenty ride goblins.

Ride goblin like it's name, riding another monster to chase the target. They are similar like cavalry unit.

When I want to help them, Lily held my cloth.

"Let me do this." (Lily)

"I don't mind, but how about the meal?" (Ray)

"Ready to serve." (Lily)

As she said that, she is rushing toward them.

"What was that?"

The merchant stopped his carriage. The merchant seems surprise with Lily's speed. He only catch the afterimage of her.

"That's two." (Lily)

In a second she has killed two of them. Other goblins turn their back and change the target to Lily. Knowing that, she has prepared the next attack.

"[Wind Slash]!" (Lily)

With her swing her blade, 5 more of them has been taken down. Lily's affinity is <Wind>. Thats good that with her affinity will support her style.

There is still a lot of them. Maybe I will step in her battle.

"[Ice Needle]! Oy Lily, don't push yourself too much." (Ray)

I have fully mastered the mana control. Because of that, I can use other magic beside my affinity.

I manage to take down another five. The goblins once again stop their movement. Eight more, she can take them herself.

"This will finish it! <Trick Art> [Blink Strike]!" (Lily)

Because they stop their movement, it will be easy to kill them in one strike. She really mastered <Trick Art> that I created, she has learned all of them.

I approach Lily that near the goblins dead body.

"That was dangerous. Don't make a reckless decision. Even in fact you are strong, we really can not fully predicted how the battle go." (Ray)

"S-sorry. I just wanna help him." (Lily)

I lectured her because her action. It's an act though, however we never really know how are the battle will go.

The merchant shock with the fact all ride goblins were defeated by two of us. After all, ride goblin is an evolve monster.

The merchant get off the carriage and he is come closer to us.

"Thank you for saving me, my name is Cole an I am a merchant. May I know who you two are and where are you going to?" (Cole)

"My name is Ray and this is my partner Lily. Right now we are headed to Razel City." (Ray)

"How coincidence, I am currently heading there too. How about I hire you too to escort me to the city?" (Cole)

He is ask us to escort him. Well, seems like promising to me. I look at Lily and she give me a nod. After get the signal, I grin.

"Well, thats good offer. We will accept it, but of course there will be a reward, right?" (Ray)

I push him to at least give some money that enough live at inn. But unexpectedly he answer.

"Of course I will reward you. How about 10 gold coins?" (Cole)

That was quite high. Of course I will take that, however I raise my eyebrow as a sign of thinking to refuse it. Knowing the signal, he raise the offer.

"Then, how aboit ten gold and a new cloth for both of you? Your clothes right now is broken. That will be enough right?" (Cole)

That sure too high. The price of clothes that sold in market is too much for our reach. The ingredient is surely rare to found here and make the price surely too high. Seems like this is the highest bid he can offer. I give him a gentle smile.

"Thats enough. We will accept it. But, can you tell me why you would pay that high?" (Ray)

My curiousity come out. I need to know what happen around here until he dare to offer that high.

"I see... Even you both still young, you are quite strong and having rough battle while didn't know what happen out here. Allright, I will tell you. Lately, the monster around Razel gone wild. Many casualties found around the road to there. Your clothes become like that because of many monster attack, right?" (Cole)

He said that while crying giving his simpathy toward us. I give a small nod as sign of agreeing altough this is just because we just not have enough material to make a new one.

Even I have many materials in [Dimension Storage], however I need to use it wisely. I do not want to make a weird situation like 'someone from forest come out with high quality clothes', or something else.

"I understand, we will accept it and thank you for the clothes you will buy for us. However, we have made a meal here so we will eat it first. If you wouldn't mind, you can join our meal." (Lily)

She really understand how to make a good move at the right time. He nod and parking the carriage near our meal.

"Seems like everything went well according with your plan." (Lily)

She whisper to me and I whisper back to her

"Yeah, even I not expected the reward will be this high. However this is good thing." (Ray)

Well, whatever. Right now just let us enjoy our meal to the fullest!

After finishing our meal. We are resume our trip to Razel. Well, not much to tell during this trip. We only have a chat and slain some monster.

On the next day, we have arrive at Razel. There is a long line to enter this town. As expected of a big town.

"Seems like many people want to get into the town." (Lily)

"Yeah, but usually not this much." (Cole)

"You mean some kind of big event is here today, isn't it?" (Ray)

Just from the simple talk become the interisting one. Seems like this is kind of luck.

"Correct, today the princess will be here to attending the school." (Cole)

"There is a school here?" (Ray)

"Yeah, but only for nobles. Us as a commoner can not enter the school without recomendation letter." (Cole)

"Really? They sure have a social gap here." (Ray)

"Sure it is. Also today is the first time princess be here." (Cole)

Yeah, it sure the big one. Nothing will be the cause of the crowd other than that.

"How old are the princess?" (Ray)

"Fifteen." (Cole)

Suddenly, I feel a bloodl.u.s.t come from my back. I slip out something that I shouldn't talk about.

"You can not say that thing when you in front of your 'partner'." (Cole)

"I know! I just curious how old you will start attending school. Beside, I don't have interest with her. I prefer to be Lily than her." (Ray)

And with that she is blushing.

"Is what you say is true, master?" (Lily)

She said it with her shining eyes and clinging on me.

"I told you to not call me like that!!" (Ray)

Cole laughing after he saw us like this. This kid sure have something that I never expected.

Not long after that, it's our turn.

"Oh, Cole! Seems like you made it in time."

Seems like the gatekeeper know Cole. Merchants sure have many connection.

"Yeah, thanks to them. I have no problem with the monster."(Cole)

"Sure. I still remember the first time we met, you nearly killed by ride goblin." (Ray)

I join the chat and telling the truth. The gatekeeper laughing to him.

"I am surprise you hire childrens to escort you. But without them you have been a dead body after all."

"Don't mock me, they are strong you know."

"Yeah, sure. However I never saw them before. This is your first time here?"

"Yeah." (Ray)

"Ok, wait a sec."

After that he bring a crystal. It's called <Inspection Crystal>. It will scan your criminal record and make sure you don't want to be a threat in town.

We both finished the scan and nothing wrong.

"You both are clear. May I know your reason come here?"

"We want to be an adventurer." (Ray)

"Ha ha! You both still to young the be one of them. But if I recall, they not have required age to join the guild. All I can do is wish for your luck."

"Thanks!" (Ray)

"Thank you." (Lily)

We answer at the same time. And now we enter the city

"All right, I will take you both to clothes store and then to the guild. And here, your reward." (Cole)

He give us a pocket of money. As promised, ten gold coins. Cole stop his carriage in front of the store. He guided us in.

"Oh, Cole. Are you all right? I worried about you. You know, the monster around here become more dangerous. I tought you have been killed" (???)

Wow, that's too straight-thinking way. Who greet Cole is a pretty woman. Seems like they have a good relationship.

"Oh, and who are those child." (???)

Finally, she aware us. She fix her composure and looking at us with a sharp way. Well, that's intimidating tough. Maybe she thinks we are a kind of thief.

"They are the one who save me. The boy is Ray and his 'partner', the wolf girl is Lily." (Cole)

"Oh, then I think I should apologize. My name is Ira. I am Cole's wife." (Ira)

We are surprised with what she said. This pretty woman is his wife? Comparing Cole's weak appereance, the gap is too high. There impossible to think she is his wife.

"N-nice to meet you." (Ray & Lily)

We bow our head

"There is no need to do that. I am the one who should bow. Thank you for saving my beloved husband." (Ira)

"I promised to bought them a clothes. Can you allow it?" (Cole)

"Sure. Please choose whatever you want and please accept this as my thanks." (Ira)

"Sure." (Ray)

We take a look every clothes in here. I have decide what will I pick. However Lily, I do not know where she is. Maybe, she has made choice before me.

I try to wear my new clothes. A black shirt and pants with white coat. Yep it suit in me and good to hide my daggers.

I take a step outside and see Lily with red shirt, black pants and white coat too. I wonder how we can pick the same thing and why she not choose a skirt.

"It's good on you." (Ray)

"T-Thanks" (Lily)

She is blushing. Seems like she in a good mood.

"We take this." (Ray)

"That's suit you both." (Ira)

"Then I will take you to the guild." (Cole)

With that, we walk to the guild. The main road is become more crowded. Is she come soon?

Again, the bloodl.u.s.t raise again. It like she can read my mind at the moment. But i give her signal that I not interested on the princess. After that, she is calmed down.

"Well, we are arrive." (Cole)

"Thanks for guiding us. Well then see you." (Ray)

"Yeah." (Cole)

We go inside the guild. There are many people bringing weapon here. They are seem strong too.

We take a step to the receiptionist.

"Hello, welcome to the Razel Guild. My name is Sana, how can I help you both." (Sana)

She said it with smile. However, I know that was a forced one. Maybe because she is thinking we are a child who want to make a cheap request.

"Hello, we are here to become an adventurer." (Ray)

As I said that, the guild become silent.
