Making it a reasonable distance, the girls stopped their run.

Given the chance, Wan Yao Yao finally had the opportunity to look back. It would be a lie to say she wasn't shocked by this out come. Yet she was quite good at keep a straight face, she wouldn't let anyone see what she deemed unworthy. So her face retained that innocent look as false flashes of horror past through her eyes.

"Mistress, was there a hidden expert in the crowd? That explosion skill was quite profound. Could Mistress determine the origins?" The maid asked between pants. She herself wasn't high in cultivation, so was unable to determine a thing, let alone keep to such an arduous pace.

But her mistress was different. Her mistress was already well into the Essence Condensation Realm, just a half step away.

Wan Yao Yao shook her head, she hadn't a clue either. But just then she recalled something.

Looking all around. "Wait, where's the child that pulled us away?"

Could it be? Could that child have done something? Quite a far fetched idea, but anything is plausible when cultivation realm is factored in. Combine that with Alchemy pills, then anything is possible.

The maid also remembered the child, but can't recall where she vanished from. But wasn't she wasn't thinking as deeply as her mistress. Her thoughts were more aligned to reprimanding her. What a reckless child! How could she had the gall to grab a lady and run through the streets?

Neither could find heads or tails of the one they sought and so the maid spoke.

"Mistress maybe she went home?" Knowing her mistress' temperament well she added. "Possibly scared that she may have offended such a noble persona."

Wan Yao Yao perked up with that statement. She nodded her head, that had to be it.

If she was scared how could the child be the cause? Her nerves loosen at that thought. On the outside she was just innocent as before, not at all nervous, but inside only she knows how scary that thought was. Who was she kidding? What pill can cause a child to be so powerful? If that were the case then heavens be damned, the emperor would swoop in like a hawk!

Wouldn't that mean she would be the people of the imperial palace? If she offended such a persona, child or not, things would not be good. Best she just forget about the child and hope her thoughts were far from the mark.

But if she does run into her, don't blame her for trying to get some benefits! A ruthless glint flashed in her eyes.

So the two walked away, completely ignorant that the 'child' they searched for, had fallen deep asleep on the ground just a few steps behind....

But a certain someone was not ignorant of this. Once Yu Shi had caught up, after pulling herself back from the shocking explosion, her eyes captured her prey.

"Aha!" She exclaimed.

Not wasting anytime, she picked up the sleeping girl off the ground, carried like a sack of potatoes. A victories grin graced her lips, as she rushed off in high spirits.

She had captured her long awaited prey how could she not? Now that your in my arms, don't think about escape! She laughed to herself. Well she thought she did, but that laugh had escaped her thoughts and entered reality. Making for quite the spectacle for those around.

A young mother and child saw such a scene, shaking her head she pats her son on the head. "You see darling, that's the perfect example, don't become a crazy person like that. Best you stay clear okay?" She said dotingly.

The boy bobbed his head, "I understand mother."

She grinned from ear to ear. "Good. Such a sensible child, you do your mother proud." She grunts in pain slightly.

Stroking her stomach, the boy voices in concern. "Does it hurt?" He looked at the belly and wondered if he was just as rude as an infant.

She shook her head. "Worry not, this is the pain of a mother. So it's happy pain."

She patted the child on the head, grabbing hold of his small palm as they walked off. "What do you want for dinner tonight Ying Ying?"

The boy's eyes brighten. "Hot pot!"

The mother and son laughed as they disappeared through the crowds.

Sitting at his desk, Doctor Wu had just finished a bottle of his favorite wine. An herbal wine full of healthy benefits. Enough to make you tipsy, but never enough to sate ones d.e.s.i.r.e.

About to grab for another bottle his brows wrinkle.

He sighs, that was the last bottle...

He instinctually reaches for his spacial ring, but stops himself. He can't indulge anymore. He was already running low, and it was the last one too! It wasn't just the last, but the final one.

He sighed yet again, putting the empty bottle away, messaging the knot in his brow. Thinking about his favorite wine that he'll soon never be able to taste again, cause some melancholy.

Preparing to leave, and go take a small nap, his plan is interrupted when his door is slammed open. He shook his head, he already knew who it was. Only one person would disregard his poor door, beating dents into its body with each kick. Doesn't she ever learn? There's a door handle for a reason, or does she just refuse to use her hands?

Unaware her master is judging her yet again, Yu Shi walks through looking as if she just survived a hurricane. Her outfit was a mess, her hair was much worse, and she appeared to be carrying a sack of potatoes. What in the world was this girl doing the past eight days? He hadn't a clue, but his eyes suddenly widened, and rushed to her side.

Why was this?

Because that sack of potatoes just moved that's why!

That wasn't a sack of potatoes, it was a person! Did his maid resort to kidnapping? Oh lord, what was he to do with this girl?

Not noticing her masters change, Yu Shi proudly speaks her mind. "Master I've brought you the savior!"

Raising a brow. "Savior? Of what?"

Patting out the creasing in her gown, regardless if she did or not, the poor cloth looked dreadful, she responds confused. "The savior of the pouch of course. Did master forget already?" What was she to do with her silly master? Had his brain finally returned to mush with his old age?

In truth, Doctor Wu wasn't all that old, he only looked that way, since he never trimmed his beard. He had the persona of a kindly old man whom had many stories to tell. A tear drop mole placed right below his left eye made for an elegant face along with his kindness.

She swears if he were a few years younger, Yu Shi would swoon over her master!

"Enough, this old man remembers, but before we talk about that, bring the girl over to the bed." He shook his head. From the way his maid was handling her, he feared she may have caused undo harm.

Coming to her senses, Yu Shi followed her masters command, and placed the pouch savior on the bed. This was a bed they used for patients, so it was nice and clean, and quite large. Yet with the little girl laying down, the bed looked like monster ready to swallow her whole. What was to be done? Her growth had been stunted do to neglect.

Looking her over, Doctor Wu widened his eyes in shock. A tremble set in as he gripped his hands into a tight fist. He hadn't realized the pain of his nails kissing skin.

Quickly he stabilized his state of mind, and went to deep contemplation. With his large, bony fingers, which were like jade, he gently slid her hair back, revealing her face. There was a slight knot between her brows, she obviously wasn't have too good of a dream.

Doctor Wu touched his spacial ring, pulling out a bottle of ointment. His jade finger dips into the clear cream, then messages it into her brow.

Yu Shi was curious as to what her master was doing, but she wasn't fated to stay and watch. Her master had sent her away.

"Go clean up. This old man's sense of smell has become stronger with age, and can't handle it." He spoke without turning his head. One hand still messaging while the other pulling at his beard.

Dipping her head in disappoint, Yu Shi reluctantly heads off to bathe.
