Tobi left home through a Teleportation circle and for the first, he felt both dizzy and excited. Only when the teleportation circle had transported him to God knows where did he start sprinting forward as he observed his surroundings.

Umair_Ahmed City

Ahmed was a port city along the coast of Vignesh Kingdom. It was one of the few towns to rely on the flourishing trade of the outer seas to slowly develop itself, and at one point had over ten thousand free citizens making up its society and fame. The lights were like stars that never went out at night, and it created the image of its unique prosperity.

However, the constant Skeleto' Tide in the outer seas, especially after the ransacking of the Preston archipelago, stopped the sea trading for a while. In the process many small merchants were forced to stop their trades, some had even committed suicide in the sea due to bankruptcy or high blood pressure, leading to a further decline in its prosperity.

Far far away, a cloaked figure who was obviously Tobi could be seen walking toward a large city gate, sporting on a grey hooded robe.

When he was in sight of the city, much of his doubt got cleared up as he walked forward. It wasn't just his imagination, the city resembled closely to the cities in the middle ages, with a few marvels of science the city possesses.

"An entry fee is a copper coin."

The two guards standing at the heart of the gate said almost at the same time, immediately the young figure was within sight they stood wary. While they had noticed something was amiss with him from the way he looked at them and from the black gilder mask he wore, they neither pose unnecessary questions nor made things difficult for him.

After handing over the fee, Tobi was allowed to enter Umair_Ahmed City.

Within the heart of the city, except from its desolate road, and patrol guards clad on light silver armories patrolling everywhere.

There was no sign of any complex invention, surviving with maybe a windmill or watermill.

On his way, Tobi had gotten the chance to see normal people, some of them he got to interact with exchanging a few of his stuff for coins and information about the surroundings and locality.

They explained about the Umair_Ahmed city was the closest city he could get into contact with, most of the information were base on types of people, which in return he got to know that only artisans, scholars, and merchants lived in the city.

The rest of, since this was a port on the sea, there was a theoretical chance of thieves or robbers, and those timid aristocrats and nobles were scared shitless by the Skeleto' Tide, increasing the city's security. Most of them had probably hidden themselves further inside the mainland by now.

"I'll probably need to start by going to the Mercenary Guild later," Tobi said to himself as he walked.

The road pavement seemed to be roughly made, as the movement from carts and carriages was like going through rocks causing bumps. The space between the buildings had few minor undeveloped constructions.

From the signs board hung outside various buildings, Tobi could easily spot a blacksmith, a tavern, a tailor shop, and mini markets.

The bakery and Mercenary though didn't need any sign or advertisement. The delicious smell and the loud noise that came out of its chimney and front of the door was enough to make any passerby both drool and wary at the same time.

After finding an inn, Tobi slipped his hood off, revealing his curly black hair and a black mask that prevented most of his face from being visible except his light blue eyes.

When he had previously arrived, Tobi was rather surprised because most of the inhabitants he met were just normal people unlike where he came from, the Ancient Vampires, Lycanthrope, Holy humans, and witches were the only people's he could constantly come into contact with.

Before his adventure started, Tobi had been instructed about how dangerous the outside world was, and also about the admittance test by Horus well enough regarding his visit to Divine Moon academy.

Also before going to Divine Moon academy, he has asked for confirmation from the Vampire Ancestor Lucian as well.

Horus's adventure to the outside world had happened millenniums ago, everything could have changed over time, but from the Vampire Ancestor Lucian experience, the society outside was still the same.

If not for the fact that, Horus couldn't be allowed to follow him to the academy, Tobi bet he would have nagged his way, until he was probably allowed to.

Horus had intended Tobi's trip for a while long enough to allow his young master to travel outside his safe zone, since Tobi was to go to the academy there was nothing that Horus could teach him anymore. And with Tobi's enchanted pendant, he could now move about with more ease. According to Horus and how Tobi estimated it to be, the space within it could probably store ten of Umair_Ahmed city without even being cramped up.

As such everything, things he carried like his tent, rations, and essentials inside it, weren't able to hold even a percentage of the entire space making things less difficult for him and stress-free.

After his teleportation on land Tobi was like a drop of water that disappeared in between the river of people. Things were rather sėnsɨtɨvė compared to before now, and he also did not plan to cause any trouble or invite unwanted attention to himself.

So traveling at this point was a very troublesome matter. Especially if he lacked proper proof of free citizenship from the city hall or some other documents like that, he'd be treated immediately like a runaway slave or a spy. The rest of his life could be spent in a dungeon.

And of course, this would be very possible since he was in a disguise and would no longer be protected, by Horus or by the four circles of power, unless he purposely asked for it.. But he wasn't foolish enough to do that.
