Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 48 - Ogres 4

At this moment while the retreating ogre's movements were chaotic they seemed to have formed a coordinate, Tobi was also slowly retreating but suddenly he realized something from the exceptional figure of a black bull and its rider a Valkyrie, darting towards the ogres at the front, he also realized something else her direction seemed to be aiming at the ogres chief

This gave rise to little commotions as the other mercenaries were astonished when they saw the mount and its rider, a valkyrie, her figure flipped over in the air directly posing her bow and knocking three arrows imbue with an air elemental Mana which granted the three arrows an increase in speed and agile, meanwhile, the black bull beneath her seemed had also formed a battle stance with its large horns, aiming at the ogres chief buŧŧ.

The powerful burst of flame from the Valkyrie technique accompanied by the imbue of air elemental Mana shut forward like a flame lance towards the ogres chief.

Which many of the mercenaries blurted out loudly in surprise, as they commented "She is a high-ranked Archer" in both bewilderment and astonishment.

The black bull who was just beneath her seemed to have been craze and frenzy, as its galloped even faster towards the ogres chief and overtook the ogre chief in a single dash.

Valkyrie let out a little grunt, as she knocked down an extra arrow towards the ogres chief who was bȧrėly moving due to being impede from her previous arrows, together with the thrust from the black bull which caused its head to hit the ground with great force

Before the ogres chief could stand on its feet, a little whistle resonated lightly in the air, immediately after, the ogres chief felt its sensation from its limbs went amiss, no matter how much its dried to moved them they only became weaker by the second.

Everyone looked in shock, that last arrow had pierced through its ċhėst forming a large hole, and then exited through its back, slowly but suddenly dark green fluid began to sprout outward onto the ground.

As an elite rank Valkyrie especially with noble blood of an elf sage, who had high combat experience in melee range and a high mastery talent in long-range attack and in terms of archery and hunting, who was also equivalent to a rank 3 elite warrior, the valkyrie would be rather displeased if she couldn't take down an ogre with her archery skill and hunting experience she had trained over the years.

"Good! Who is that?"

While her actions had caused quite the stir, it was on the good side, which also caught the attention of Urara-a who had been watching the battle from the side observantly, his black eyes stared at the valkyrie Anomander with interest but bȧrėly had any changes to his expression making it impossible to guess what was on his mind.

When he looked at the valkyrie he was quite surprised, the feats she was currently displaying were rather powerful for an unknown mercenary, yet he had no knowledge of such a mercenary before. In his eyes, it meant that she had a master who was a high-ranked archer and had trained her for years, or most likely that she was from a noble blood of archers.

"They're not from the medium-sized mercenary groups, maybe they're just rogue mercenaries." A sorcerer spotted in a black robe said from his side, with a feminine neuter voice.

"They?" Urara-a brows pricked up slightly, his voice containing a hint of questioning and curiosity.

"I mean she isn't the only one, she also has a "teammate" who is also a rogue mercenary." The sorcerer said, with a palpable irony contain in her voice.

"Hmm, I see It seems my old eyes have missed some young talent among these bunch of mercenaries. When they are done immediately send some men over to speak to her." Urara-a said as he held his chin slightly, feeling rather curious about this unknown mercenary who was a valkyrie vague identity.

"Huh? So the rumored ogres are only on such a level?"

The Valkyrie Anomander said a bit of surprise in her voice, obviously expecting something much more than this, she slowly walked up to the ogres' chief corpse lying on the ground and slightly kicked it, but it didn't budge even for a bit as it laid there dead, suddenly the valkyrie Anomander held her nose as she jumped backward in fright.

Her voice had an uneasiness to it, as she mutters, "Holy mother, it smells awful..so Damn awful I need a bathe." The valkyrie said, akin to have forgotten to have been in a battle previously.

Even though the Valkyrie Anomander had intervened at the very last moment, the fight had still spread and affected the caravans which obviously suffered some damages, and only what changed was the fact that after she had killed the ogres chief, the rest of the ogres had run even quicker.

Within the space of a few minutes, they seemed to have disappeared into the dense shrubs by the road forest area, which made the various mercenaries who wanted the reward money feel more crestfallen.

Meanwhile, the valkyrie Anomander had won most of the credit, who also refused to meet anyone apart from the noblewomen. She could bȧrėly even respond to the men sent over by the Dawn Light crew, leaving all the talking to Tobi, who had to present himself as to address whatever information they might need.

Only after they had returned to their own carriage, did the Valkyrie Anomander realized she had caused quite the stir from the palpable gazes of fear, awe, and bewilderment of the others.

In Tobi's eyes, the little heroine Valkyrie Anomander usually would have been on cloud nine that if she had a tail, it would have been wagging.
