Enigma: Being Chased By A Sly Ghost Husband

Chapter 2 - An Unique Beginning [2]

A bright red sports car drove on the busy roads of Seoul, South Korea. Driving the car was a young man in his late twenties. His dyed blond hair was messily styled, and his bangs fell upon his forehead. A black sunglass with gold rim was upon his eyes.

Loud, rock music played on his car, and hearing the music, the young man moved his head along with the music. Swerving his car to the left, the man stopped his car in front of a glass building.

"Stop," He commanded, and the music immediately stopped playing.

Opening the door to the car, Ahn Jaein got down. As he removed his pair of sunglasses, his presence attracted the eyes of many passersby.

Nonetheless, paying no mind to that, Ahn Jaein fixed the hood of his jacket and placed it over his head. Taking out a lollipop from his pocket, Ahn Jaein unwrapped its packaging, and placing the purple coloured lollipop inside of his mouth, Jaein stepped towards the glass building in front of him.

Pushing the revolving door, Ahn Jaein walked into the building. On the building, 'AJI' was written in blue, bold letters.

As he stepped into the employees' office, all the employees stood up and bowed at him. The office was coloured in bright colours— shades including bright blue and neon purple.

The office was equipped with high tech gaming devices, and robots stood at some parts of the office.

Taking out the lollipop from his mouth, he smiled at his employees and vocalised, "Good morning, everyone."

All the employees, in a cheerful tone, vocalised, "Good Morning, CEO Ahn!"

Saying that, all of the employees took their seats. Wearing a casual expression, Ahn Jaein turned towards a particular group of people.

"Team three," He enunciated.

The six members of the said team stood up immediately at their name and stepped forward. Nervousness could be seen on their faces as being called by their CEO like this rarely meant anything good. All of the other employees were afraid of being targeted and therefore, did not dare look at their direction.

"Aish! Why are you all looking this scared? I am not going to eat you up," Ahn Jaein vocalised.

The Team Leader mustered up his courage and decided to go first. In order to provide encouragement to him, the member standing beside him placed his palm on Team Leader's shoulder.

"CEO Ahn, is anything the matter?" He questioned— his voice showing apprehension.

"The theme for the prototype would be better if it was more colourful," Ahn Jaein vocalised before placing the lollipop back in his mouth and stepping towards the stairs.

The Team Leader's eyes widened, and his knee almost gave out. The other members held his arms to support him up as one of the member commented, "Overtime again."

Falling back on the couch in his office, Ahn Jaein took his laptop from glass table. Leaning back against the couch, Ahn Jaein placed his legs on top of the glass table.

After opening the cover of his laptop, Ahn Jaein began typing away whilst wearing a smirk on his face. The noises of his typing blocked by the loud sound of someone running, and the door to his office was pushed open.

A man dressed in black suit stepped into the room. His face was covered in sweat, and he let out deep breaths. After recovering his breathing rate, he walked toward.

"What are you doing, CEO Ahn?" The man asked— his voice showing annoyance.

With his eyes still on the laptop screen in front of him, Ahn Jaein vocalised, "Secretary Kim, you're here. Good afternoon! This game produced by LMH is awesome! You need to try it out."

"CEO Ahn, should you playing at this moment?" Secretary Kim w.h.i.n.ed— his tone sounding as if he was about to cry.

"Just three more minutes, and we can then talk. I am really close to leveling up," Jaein vocalised.

Secretary Kim stomped towards Jaein in frustration and closed the cover of laptop. Finally looking towards Secretary Kim, Jaein glared at him.

"Secretary Kim, I was about to level up! Do you know how hard that was?!" Jaein vocalised.

Secretary Kim, using a tone louder than Jaein, exclaimed, "CEO Kim, the interview with reporters from Dream is today, and they have been waiting one hour for you!"

Jaein g.r.o.a.n.e.d, and brushing his hand through his hair, Jaein stood up. Letting out a sigh, he said, "Fine, fine, don't growl! Let's get going."
