Chapter 30 - Steal Your Heart [2]

Week had been passed since Shin Ryujin had secured her job at the convenience store, and fortunately enough, although she had gotten rebuked a number of times, there were no signs of her being fired from it.

Even if that person remained unidentified, he created countless number of troubles fro Ryujin, and being unable to catch him frustrated her to a great deal.

At this point, it was starting to attack the her pride immensely, and her determination to catch that person intensified by each passing second.

The thought about contacting the police came inside her mind, but she had never gotten the time to visit the police station. At the evening, she worked at the convenience store while in the day, she was busy trying to find a regular job. Maybe over the weekend she would be able to visit the police station.

As Ryujin tapped on the table before her, her eyes narrowed in on the man who had entered into the convenience store, and from top to bottom, he was dressed in black.

He pulled on his long hood to cover his face and made his way over to the shelves. The footsteps taken by him were careful and barely produced any noise. She noticed the uncanny resemblance he had to the man— who created trouble for her— and pursed her lips at that, deciding to observe him to slightly longer.

The man had walked over to the shelf filled with snacks and grabbed on to couple of packets of the snacks. After looking at both of his side— an action considered suspicious by Ryujin— he walked over to her table.

He placed the food on her table and pulled his hood further down, causing creases to form between Ryujin's eyebrows.

Shaking her head, Ryujin drove away all the silly thoughts away from her mind. These days she got easily suspicious over everyone, and that needed to stopped.

Flashing the man before her a smile, she scanned the barcode on his products in order to check him out.

Maybe she was right to be suspicious of him. As Ryujin started to walk towards her apartment, she felt a presence follow after her. Nonetheless, she drove that thought away from her mind, finding it to be foolish.

However, after ten minutes of walking, that presence was still there, and there were no one present on the streets other than them.

Shin Ryujin raised her head, and her eyes fell on the mirror on the road. She could identify herself in the mirror, and her eyes widened slightly when she realized that the man from earlier in the convenience store was following her as well. He pulled on his hood in order to keep his face hidden.

As she took a couple of steps forward, she could distinctly hear his footsteps. Although the sound made them by was low, it was able to reach into her ear, and her heart began to drum rapidly within her c.h.e.s.t.

Gulping, she turned back in order to test the man, and although his movements were clumsy, he hid behind the wall instantly.

This confirmed her suspicion.

One way or the other, Ryujin was determined to catch him and beat him up. Thinking about that gave her a rush of adrenaline.
