My Marriage To A Mute Alpha

Volume 1 Chapter 39 - ch 39

Just like they had planned, Xiang and Suho took off after having lunch. While they were in the car, Xiang asked, “Suho, do you have any photos of your sister and your mother? I want to see if they resemble you!”

“You can open that compartment. There’s a mini-album. It has a lot of photos.”

Xiang then opened up the compartment and took out the album. He carefully looked at each picture, deliberately.

When he got to a certain photo, he exclaimed, “Your mother looks so beautiful! She looks like a masterpiece. So that’s where you got your genes from!”

“Ha! Ha! I resemble my mother. Don’t I?”

“You do,” said Xiang while he patted Suho’s head and smiled. He then immediately shrieked, “My God! You’re sister looks like an angel! You must love her dearly. You and your sister both resemble your mother very much!”

“Do you want to stop by to get some flowers?”

“Of course! What kind do you get them?”

“They both love roses. I always get them roses, no matter what the season was.”

They got out of the car to stop by the florist shop. While Suho was buying the flowers, Xiang took the time to explore. When he was looking at the flowers, he came across a bouquet of pink and blue flowers. Just a glance at the bouquet made him look back at the incidental meeting between him and Suho during their childhood. He regretted not being able to remember such a precious memory. From a distance, Suho saw him smiling at the bouquet and blushing. He later called out to Xiang and said, “Xiang, you can get in the car. I’ll be there in just a minute.” Xiang just left the bouquet as it was and got inside the car. Even though they were close, he still couldn’t muster up the courage to ask Suho to buy him some flowers. When Suho got back, he handed Xiang the bouquet of blue and pink flowers.

“Suho, this….is?”

“It’s for you. Weren’t you staring at it?”

“But…”

“You didn’t hesitate to not give up on me. Then, why are you shy to ask me to buy you some flowers?” said Suho and kissed his forehead. Using his fingers, he slightly brushed Xiang’s bangs to the side and placed his palm on his cheeks. He laid his warm lips on Xiang’s lips and warmed them up. He then said, “I’ll give you anything you want. Please don’t keep it to yourself.” Xiang then hugged him tightly and buried his head deep into his embrace.

“Then, shall we go?” asked Suho while smiling.

“Yes,” replied Xiang. With just his few words, Xiang’s insecurities flew away in a gist. He felt guilty of not being able to open up to him, even though Suho was. By the time he had cleared up his thoughts, they had already reached the destination. It wasn’t a cemetery. Instead, it looked somewhat like a private garden.

“This is where my mother and sister are buried. I bought this place just for them.”

“The place is filled with flowers and bushes. I bet they love it.”

“I hope so. It’s the least I could do.”

Suho then walked up to their grave, kneeled, and placed the flowers. Xiang also kneeled and gave his respects.

“Mother and sister, this person is the one I chose to spend the rest of my life with. I’m really lucky to find him. It must be fate. He was the one who helped me pick flowers for Fei’s birthday. He’s kindhearted, and lovely just like you two. I hope you accept him.”

Xiang then took Suho’s hand and said, “Mother-in-law and sister-in-law, I love Suho more than anything. I know that I can’t show the kind of love you two bestowed upon him. But I will surely make him happy. Please leave him in my care from now on. I will love him with all my heart.”

Suho hugged Xiang and stayed silent. Xiang hugged him back and patted his head gently. Xiang knew that Suho wouldn’t cry even in a situation like this. The least he could do is staying by his side. Suho, who was still hugging Xiang, lifted his head a little. He suddenly noticed a black figure behind the bushes. Before he could collect his thoughts, a thin steel pipe peeked out of the bush.

“Xiang, watch out!!!” shouted Suho and pushed him to the side. Before he could defend himself, a thin steel blade pierced straight through his throat.

“Suho!!!!!” cried Xiang.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the bushes. He had already escaped. Suho, who was lying on Xiang’s lap, tried to speak out. But he couldn’t.

“Suho, don’t try to talk! Blood is oozing out! Will you be able to walk up to the car?”

Suho nodded in reply. Xiang immediately lifted Suho and supported him to walk. He helped him sit inside the car and took off. He never imagined that both of them would get caught up in a situation like that. But instead of crying and fretting over it, he had to save Suho. While they were in the car, Suho placed his hands on Xiang’s and smiled at him. He knew that Suho was telling him to be calm. And that was what he had to do. Luckily, there was a clinic nearby. Suho was immediately taken inside and was given first aid. He called Han Li and Cheng Mu and told them about what had happened. After a while, both of them, along with the Lee family’s doctor had arrived. The doctor immediately rushed inside to check up on Suho. The trio were left outside to wait.

“Mr. Xiang, Don’t worry! Suho will be alright.”

“Xiang, you did the right thing by bringing Mr. Suho here as fast as you could. He will be alright.”

But Xiang didn’t utter a word. Everything happened so fast that he felt as if it was a dream. He was in a major shock that he couldn’t even recollect what had happened. Just then, Suho’s doctor came out.
