My Marriage To A Mute Alpha

Volume 1 Chapter 7 - ch7

Xiang and his dad didn’t say anything, while Mrs.Shi was talking on the phone. His mother was talking seriously on the phone, that she was sweating as if she ate a ton of chilies. After talking on the phone for about ten minutes, she hung up. She went towards Xiang, with no expression on her face. She sat beside him, hugged him and rested her head on his shoulder.

“It seems he didn’t accept me. But it’s ok. He has the right to make his own decision. No one would want to marry a person that they are unfamiliar with,” said Xiang while sighing.

His mother slowly lifted her head and smiled at him.

“What are you smiling for?” said Mr. Shi while looking suspiciously at her.

She kept on staring at them. Xiang was fast to get annoyed and said “You can keep smiling. I have some work to do. I’ll take my leave.”

Suddenly his mother pulled him by his arm and hugged him tightly.

“Mom, what’s the matter? Don’t cry. I can find another partner. This is not the end,” he said.

“My little Xi. I am so happy for you!” said his mother while crying. Xiang’s father was quick to respond and joined the hug.

“What are you saying mom?” he asked anxiously.

“Suho has agreed to the marriage!”.

Xiang was shocked. He then said, “Really? Did he accept me?”

“Yes! Really!” said his mother. Xiang then pinched his father’s cheek.

“Xi! It hurts! What are you doing?” asked his father while rubbing his cheeks.

“This isn’t a dream!” said Xiang while laughing.

“But there’s one thing,” said his mother.

“What is it?”

“You and Suho are going to have a little chat at Jim’s pastry café, which is close to our headquarters in the evening. It seems to be Suho’s favorite one. This was a request from his mom. You have to go there.”

“I indeed intended to meet him, but I didn’t expect it to be this soon,” said Xiang anxiously.

“Everything is going to be fine. You don’t have to worry,” said Mr. Shi while patting his head.

“Let’s choose what you got to wear!” said his mother.

“I’m not good at choosing clothes.”

“You know your mother is an expert at this. All we have to do is bring out your features!” said his mother while dragging him to her room.

“They left me out as always,” said his father and sighed.

By the time they chose one, it was already evening. The time had finally come. When Xiang went to get dressed and came out of the room to show it to his parents, his father was surprised.

Xiang was wearing his favorite pink hoodie that didn’t have anything special about it, with his white denims and his regular piercings and jewelry. To say it simply- it was his everyday look.

Soon, his father understood what Xi’s mother was doing and praised her.

“Mom, I don’t understand.”

“Xiang, remember to always be yourself. If he doesn’t accept you for who you are, he’s the one at loss. No matter what happens, do your best!” said his mother while she smiled gently at him.

Xiang ran to his parents and hugged them. “You are right. I’ll do my best!” said Xiang while laughing and crying at the same time.

“Xiang, all the best!” said his father while patting him.

“We are ready to go, young master,” said the driver.

“Yes. Let’s go,” replied Xiang.

“Will he be alright?” asked Mrs. Shi to Mr. Shi while leaning on his shoulders.

“He’s our son. He’ll be alright,” said Mr. Shi and kissed her on the forehead and took her back inside…..
