Mysterious Martial Cultivator

Li Tian continued his way deeper into the forest. As he ventured on, he could see herbs with medicinal properties. He tried to collect as many as possible thinking of giving them to the First elder for pill making.

As he collecting the herbs, a green figure slithered toward him at lightning speed.

He watched in horror as it stabbed his chest, leaving a large hole the size of an apple close to his heart.

“IsIs- this a– class three azure sna–snake scorpion?”

Li Tian mumbled incoherently clutching the wound in the chest. This is the most horrible creature of Class 3 that he could have faced in the forest.

The azure snake scorpion traces its lineage all the way back to the divine beast hydra. In adolescence alone, it grows to become a class 5 beast. Although this scorpion looks young, it was still the size of a 2 storied house. With its bluish green color it can stay hidden for an ambush. Li Tian saw that the inscription above its head showed it was still class 3 but the way it set up an ambush meant it had wisdom and was close to breaking through.

The biggest problem though was its potent poison which was capable of dissolving any creature of the same level into puses. Li Tian despaired thinking it was the end of his life. He wanted to be with the sect master and his adorable senior sister Shangun Mengyao, he wanted revenge from the guy who humiliated him on that day. However, his wishes might not come true now. The lethal poison of the azure grants a swift death to its victims not making them suffer a great deal.

Right then, the orange light flickered again, his wound miraculously began to close and he felt a cooling sensation instantly getting rid of the pain.

The snake scorpion watched in surprise as the wound gap began to close. It then spoke in a haughty tone “Foolish human do you think healing medicine can get rid of my poison so easily. Even if the wound closes you will die of poison.”

Feeling the changes in his body. Li Tian disdainfully said “Lizard what is great about your poison?” Inwardly he was rejoicing at having escaped calamity.

The snake felt its world recognition collapse instantly, panicking ‘How is this possible? How could a human brat survive for so long when the poison he took reached the bloodstream? I did not see him take any medicine yet he was able to survive!’

Li Tian felt his body becoming stronger as the cooling sensation disappeared. Cultivators do not have very strong bodies on their road to cultivation unless they practice body cultivation instead of xuan cultivation. It seemed that the venom did the work of a tonic.

He chided the snake scorpion. “Spray some poison I want to take a bath in it.”

The snake scorpion felt humiliation for he was a descendent of a divine beast. How could a puny human cultivator of Matial Student stage be allowed to insult it without suffering consequences. It gathered all of the poison in its sac and sprayed it on the human boy.

Li Tian watched his clothes disappear leaving him n.a.k.e.d but the cooling sensation once again enveloped him. His body grew stronger and stronger while there was a haze in his eyes. He felt that the poison was not the reason for his body becoming stronger. It came from another source which was very familiar to him, but he still could not figure it out.

He had been thinking of stewing the beast after killing it believing his body to be capable of absorbing poison. However, he clearly felt a stinking pain the moment the venom came in contact with him before being enveloped by something else. Today was clearly not the first time he has felt like this. The snake interrupted his thoughts with a hysterical screech “How is this possible? How can you be immune to poison? What kind of vile creature are you?”

Seeing that the poison had no effect it wriggled it way in a random motion while constantly looking for an opportunity to strike. Whenever, he was close though Li Tian would feel something posing a danger to him and move aside. The camouflage of the snake scorpion literally gave it no advantage no matter how it tried to attack him.

Li Tian was focusing on the first move, a slash that was equivalent to a hard sword strike. He gathered the xuan in his body condensing it in the sword preparing to execute the only strike he learned so far.

He was looking for the perfect opportunity to strike. However, perhaps the snake was also aware of the danger the sword strike possessed it only tried attacking him before withdrawing quickly. Faced with no other choice Li Tian braced himself for another strike from the snake scorpion in order to kill it. He would rather they both suffer given he had almost died due to poison.

As the tail of the scorpion darted like an arrow, Li Tian took the hit in his chest and delivered the sword strike. The strike cleaved the tail into two halves before going over and doing the same to the body of the snake scorpion.

The one majestic snake scorpion did not have a chance to scream before its life fire was extinguished. The horror in the eyes clearly showed its disbelief at seeing the human exchange blows with it to kill it. It felt at the last moment in its life that it should have ran away instead of waiting to strike again.

This was not the typical human which would show fear when facing it. Its ancestral memory clearly had no information on someone who could withstand its poison when technically they were of the same level, in fact Li Tian was two sublevels below it. The snake had met its nemesis yet instead of running away he confronted it.

Li Tian stood up with great difficulty. His xuan was almost exhausted, his blood had already flown too much and the cooling sensation had not appeared this time around. He made his way through the scorpion to take out its core. Amazingly it saw that the core had not broken through due to sword strike. There was a strange black ring close to it as well. He picked up the core and the ring along with other important parts like the poison sac and hurried his way from the forest towards the sect.
