Chapter 34 - Death of the Dragon King 3!

Dragon king roared and he again started to take a deep breath. This breath was far stronger than any that was before this. Even thought there is a considerable distance between me and him I could still feel the mana particles around me being s.u.c.k.e.d towards his mouth. He gathered enormous amounts of mana particles and started to shoot his breath towards me.

I took Lucinda's hand and started to dodge the breath. I used all my power to try and outrun and outmaneuver his breath. But where ever I went his fire breath would follow. I knew that out maneuvering his fire breath was useless so with all of my power I send Lucinda flying. For some reason when I did that I felt so much thrill, finally that elf got what it deserved. I overcame with so much happiness that I stopped moving and that's when Eragon's fire breath caught up to me. My clothes were burned and the ground around me turned into lava.

After few minutes he stopped his fire breath and I could finally see what happened to me. I felt no pain when I was bombarded with his fire breath, I only felt slight increase in temperature. I looked at my hands and saw that they were slightly red. After looking at my hands I conjured new clothes and looked at Eragon.

The Dragon king was dumbfounded and said, "As expected of my nemesis! Such a trivial attack can't hurt you!" After saying that he again started to gather mana particles but this time they were pulled towards his claws. When they were pulled a transparent claw made of mana appeared over his real claws.

Making that transparent claw protectors or something would take time and I'm not so nice to let him finish. Before he could form his next move I conjured a black clouds over his head and controlling it I wanted to strike him with lightning.

Using mana to conjure an elemental attack could be viewed as a weaker version of my conjuring superpower. Creatures would gather mana particles and then when they have enough they would convert all that mana into an attack. But all of that takes some time. Gathering mana and turning it into attack no matter how strong the creature that controls it is it would still take some time. But my conjuring on the other hand is instantaneous. No creature could ever be faster than me in conjuring elemental attacks.

This could be seen in this moment because I started later than the Eragon but my attack was already on its way. Eragon was struck by lightning and it wasn't all. I kept striking him with lighting. I pulled more mana particles towards the cloud and increased its size and attacking power by twice, thrice and so on. This also increased the amount of lighting strikes. From my perspective it was raining lightings on him. I kept striking until I heard a roar. Eragon flew towards the clouds and using its claws it cut thru them. Dark clouds dissipated quickly and I looked at Eragon. He had no visible wounds on his body even after experiencing a rain of lightning.

I looked closely at him and understood why he had no wounds on him. His physical body was strengthened. Most likely he used Uthers method to increase his power. Now I understand why he didn't use his own mana but instead used mana from nature.

Eragon looked at me and flew towards me. He stopped using mana attacks because he knew that the only way he could win is with his physical body. I smiled and said, "STOP!" After I said that Eragon's body which was few meters away from me stopped.

Looking at him I said, "By using the Uthers method you used your vessel power to its full potential. You increased the durability and power of your physical body to before unseen territory but sadly this would be your downfall!" After I said that hundreds of spears came out of his body. As if they were magnets they tried to pierce his body and get out of his body.

This new Earth has many gigantic races. Even the normal salamanders are as big as the a.d.u.l.t human from the old Earth. When I was awakened I was quite shocked by the proportions of this world. Creatures were bigger, plants were bigger and even the whole Earth became bigger. I did some research and after careful research I came with an answer to my question. That question being why is everything bigger?

The answer I arrived to was mana. Gigantic animals are no strangers to this word and even in old Earth's history there were many of them. From the records I knew that in prehistoric times all the animals and plants were far bigger than it was during my times. From them I learned what caused such big sizes were abundance of oxygen. The thing that caused gigantification was that during those times there was too much oxygen. The bones of animals are bigger because there were many air sacs inside them that made them bigger but also hollow. That's why even though animals were bigger their mass wasn't that big.

There were many other aspects to their giant sizes but abundance of oxygen was the biggest. In the new Earth oxygen was replaced by mana but because of their similarities abundance of mana affected the animals the same way as in abundance of oxygen. Dragons gigantic body make it so that his body would have far more oxygen(mana) than other smaller creatures. This would give Dragon many as advantages. One big advantage is that they are inborn warriors. Using Uthers method they could easily use it and become far stronger.

But sadly because of amazing amounts of mana in his body I could control mana in his body.

Nobody could control mana of the other creature because every individual have their own distinct mana. That's why after the death of a creature no other creature could devour its mana. Nobody could control other persons mana except for me. All the mana in this world came from me and even if they are changed when they are absorbed, there is still my trace left on them.

Normally I can't control mana inside other creatures because it's so hard. But Eragon's body is overflowing with mana and controlling him is quite a easy. I used mana inside his body to conjure many spears. After conjuring them I just pulled them towards me.

From many sides of his body Spears were trying to escape. Creating a funny image of dragon looking like a hedgehog.
