Overcoming The Beast

Slowly everyone woke up. The rest of the day was spent looking around and returning to the city. They reached the Tavern tiered and sad.

"We didn't find anything." Clyde said.

"At least we all improved in cultivation and we didn't lose anything so I say we gained overall."

Leon had spent the day watching Clyde and Anastasia. He wanted to know why Pandora wanted them. Since he couldn't find anything he gave up on watching. He called Pace for a private chat.

Leon put his arm around Pace and got his face close as if to securely tell him something. Using the hand around Pace. Leon created a sensing rune. He told Pace something random while he let the sensing rune sunk into Pace's Body.

"I'm sorry Pace but I can't do this to Clyde because I don't know who he is. I'll be doing the same to Anastasia later so don't worry." Leon said to himself as Pace left.

The sensing rune would allow him to sense what Pace is sensing. However it would only work when it was close to Clyde and Anastasia.

Leon said goodbye and left. The tiger and nightmare goat fusion egg had long since been at the point of hatching. He had to let it hatch soon or the fusion would fail and they both would die.

Leon went to the Blood Moon Auction he took off his formless body and wore the hood and mask. He use the VIP pass he had gotten from the sunlight Auction. Blood Moon and Sunlight Auction were in a business relationship so VIP passes could be used interchangeably. Leon had saved the pass for this identiy.

He was easily taken in. Leon went to the show case room. He looked for anything that could provide energy. And found two viable options one was an Earth Prism Soul Jem, exactly like the Fire Prism Soul Jem just in the earth element. The other was a Bloody Thorn Rose. The Bloody thorn Rose needed the cultivation to kill beast and absorb their blood. It would eventually reach the level of the Prism Soul Jems after killing hundreds of Beast.

Leon didn't have time for that he bought the Earth Prism Soul Jem and left the city. He cound a cave. It was deep and led into multiple paths. He didn't go too much into it. He summoned the egg.

The egg was grey colour and looked dull. Leon quickly sunk the Earth Prism Soul Jem into it. Leon then created a formation for absorbing energy. Bring the count of the formation circles back to four.

Leon thought of the Nightmare goat and wondered what skills it knew. As it was Four voidstar beast Leon wasn't expecting much. It knows Flame step, I remember seeing its hoove on fire when I found it.

The Nightmare beast is known to have: Flame step, Flame body, Dream Lock, Vanish, Nightmare, Flame ray and finally one of the more rarer skills that many people don't know about Dream transverse.

Considering the goat was the Nightmare Beasts descendent it most likely had some of those skills. He wanted it to have Enhanced Luck form the Lucky Goat. But it clearly wasn't a luck beast so that was but an unfulfilled wish.

Leon summoned the other two beast.

"I'll help your buddy evolve you guys protect us."

Both beast agreed. They stood near Leon with vigilance. Making sure they saw all entrances.

Leon took control of the evolution like he did last time. He wanted to make sure that tiger and tail got the dream element.

Leon put his hand on the egg and concentrated. He felt something was off. Now that he had given the Earth Prism Soul Jem the two beast should have woken up. Yet the egg didn't respond to the energy. Rather he could feel the Earth Prism Soul Jem just suspended in the egg.

"Did that evolution fail?" Leon started to have a bad feeling.

"Imposiable the egg would have exploded if it failed. But rather it's like... It has fallen asleep?" The answer struck like lightning.

"The eternal Sleep rune activated, didn't it." Leon face palmed. "Curse me and my mouth." Leon shouted.

Leon then calmed down. "I imagine something like this happened. The Beast started fusing but as they did, the rune activated on the tiger putting it to sleep. The Nightmare goat which was immune to the rune also was affected by the weird stated of partial fusion."

"This is fine. I should be able to awaken the Nightmare Goat, when it awakens and completely fuses the Tiger and snake should awaken as well."

"How am I supposed to awaken the Goat!" Leon smashed his hand into the ground in frustration. A large ditch was created. The two beast were surprised by the sudden outburst.

Leon was surprised as well. "Why did I get so angry?" He then shook that thought out and started thinking of a solution.

Leon grabbed his face and brainstormed "I could use the same method I used on the Blood Saprrow. I'll amplify the Nightmare Beast blood in the Goat increasing the Dream element. I'll also weaken all the other elements to make sure that dream element dominates. With this I'll use the dream energy passively given out by the Nightmare goat to create a formation for suppressing the Eternal Sleep rune."

"Nightmare Goat had a stronger Dream Element." Leon said laughing pathetically. "What is wrong with me? I've been in much worst situations. Why do I feel so frustrated!"

"I need to stay calm." Leon took deep breaths. His eyes had turned emotionless. Calm like a silent lake. They had a chilling feel to them.

"I need energy. I can't provide it myself because of my low cultivation. The island has crashed and the Auction house doesn't have anything."

"I'll buy the Bloody Rose thorn. They should also have something in storage. I'll force them to give it to me if they disagree. Finally there is the Bloodling Clan. Their treasury should have a high energy containing martial."

"Blood Sparrow come with me. Frost Snake you watch the egg, the absorbing formation is working. The egg needs as much energy as it can get so I can't take it with me."

They both nodded. Leon ran out to the Auction. He ran as fast as possible. Maybe it was the Scryer's Blood oath or maybe his sixth sense, it could even be both. He just felt like he had do this as fast as possible before it was too late.

Leon entered the city and went into the Auction house. He went straight to the head office. He didn't knock rather he just entered.

Leon slammed his hand in on the desk and said "I want to buy all the high energy heavenly materials you have. Now!"

The man was surprised he looked furious he turned to Leon. He felt a shockingly strong aura. It was so strong that he felt like bidding underneath his desk.

He felt like Leon was going to kill him if he didn't start talking. "Sir we have Bloody thorn Rose and someone recently brought in a thousand year Old Blood Ginseng."

Leon stamped his hand down again "I said All. Even the ones stored for later auctions!" Leon even released his Slaughter qi a little.

Feeling the frightening killer intent the man finally caved in "We have a thousand year Old elemental crystal lotus. It is for the yearly auction in two months. If sir could wait-"

"Does it look like I can wait. Give me the everything you listed until now."

The man gave Leon everything.

Leon took out the money and calculated everything to a fair price. "Here, I won't be bantering."

Leon left the room. The an finally broke a way form his fear. He ran out the room to Find Leon. However no one was there.

Outside Leon had had the Blood Sparrow shrink even more and hide under his clothes. After leaving the Auction house he had it come out. Leon ran out the city and had the Blood Sparrow grow bigger. He then rode it to the cave.

Everything was still the same. Leon went up to the egg. "The auction house actually had something useful." He took out the thousand year Old Elemental crystal lotus.

Leon used his had to draw a runic formation fast. It was the Bloodline strengthening one. He then took out the thousand year Old Blood Ginseng. He sunk crushed the ginseng onto the formation. The runic circle lit up wit a red light and was s.u.c.k.e.d into the egg.

Leon started drawing a new runic circle. Now it was for weakening the other affinities. He decided to use a conversion formation that transformed all the other energies into Dream energy. This would weaken its talent in the other elements but that could be slowly fixed.

He used the help of the Blood Sparrow and The Frost Snake to draw it. The runic formation sunk in as well. He started drawing more absorbing formations. By the time he drew his fifth one his had didn't move anymore. Because he was using a mixture of Blood and soul energy the loss of Blood caused him to weaken to the point he couldn't move. The Sparrow was holding him up was why he didn't fall.

Leon closed his eyes and cultivated the Blood Orbs art. He still hadn't formed the final rune ment to combine the five orbs. Which was the skills completion. The Sparrow had combined the orbs by itself so Leon never made the rune and so still had all the cultivation art energy.

He cultivated the art and healed. The absorbing formations Leon had drawn sunk into the egg and appeared on the surface. Energy started to torrent towards it. Leon healed enough to move. The energy had grown visible because how strong the suction force the egg had.

Leon saw the streams of energy. They came from the surrounding and caves. When he saw the thickest one he felt a bit relived.

"I should be able to give it enough energy."

Leon put the thousand year Old Elemental Crystal Lotus on the egg. It didn't sink rather it just had its roots grow into the egg whilst the lotus stayed out.

Leon had the snake and bird carry the egg and follow the thickest stream of energy into the maze of caves.

There was already no light. The Blood Sparrow could see in the dark and so could the Forst snake. Leon couldn't. The Frost snake was providing the light through its glowing NetherWorld ice body.

Leon and the beast with the egg kept on moving in weird directions looking for the source of the thickest stream of energy. They had to take turns and go in long winding paths to find it. Along the way Leon recovered. He ate the healing pills he had.

The source was a giant ant hive. Blood Ant hive.
