Scarlet's Awakening

There are two figures that can be seen hovering over a white dragon. Both entities were wearing large black cloaks that was covering their bodies. Except for the tip of their noses and mouths while watching majestic beast rampaging around the 3rd layer of the Other Dimension, like a wild beast.

"I think the spell was successful," one of the two figures said. "This proves that your reputation is not just for show..." a calm female voice came out of her thin lips. Her blue irises glowing in the shadow inside her cloak while she watched the crazy white dragon thrash and destroy everything around it with interest.

"Thank you for the compliments, milady," said the black figure beside her. He bowed his head in a slight nod, his large frame towering over her. Clearly, the individual is male, his stubborn jaw and his chin stumbles that are visible in the cloak are sufficient proof that he was definitely one.

Suddenly thought of something, the lady said, "Why don't you try the spell with the other beasts?" she suggested. And in agreement to this, the man made a sinister smile on his face.

"I agree. A fenrir or a manticore would make good test subjects..." Before the woman could say more, a black figure suddenly appeared behind them and the new arrival was holding a white egg the size of an ostrich egg.

It's origins were completely a mystery.

"I successfully retrieved the item, milady," the new arrival said, his head bowing towards the woman.

"Alright!" The woman said, clapping her hands together. "Our business here is done. Let's go!"

With that, the three black figures flew away. From the direction where they left, they were obviously headed straight to the first level of the other dimension. They didn't bother leaving behind a raging white dragon. Their presence just disappeared! Gone! As if they weren't there at the first place. And the destruction they caused was nothing but something just a trivial matter that happens everyday.

"Roar!!!" The floating islands of the other dimension that was around the white dragon shook in the intensity of the majestic creature's roar. Among those islands is the island in which Scarlet, Jasper and Anselme was in.

The white dragon swept it's long scaly tail to the side and destroyed a small island in the process. After that, the mighty beast opened its mouth. Inside it's throat a glowing red light lit up inside from the dragon's mouth as it glowed brighter and brighter, gaining its power slowly.

The glowing light climbed up to the white dragon's neck. Then it reached the mouth and went straight out of the dragon's mouth. A long line of raging fire breath came out destroying everything it came in contact with! It like a big red raging line of crimson fire.

Scarlet, Jasper and Anselme came out of the cave where they were in. The inside of the came was already crumbling into pieces. And to avoid being crushed and buried alive, they decided to come out.

Outside, they witnessed the destruction the crazed dragon had already caused. There were floating dust and large stones everywhere. Good thing there weren't many living beasts or creatures settling in the third layer of the other dimension or else a lot of lives would have been lost, their bodies floating around dead, aimlessly.

"Anselme,"

"Yes, milord." Anselme bowed his head, waiting to hear the commands of his master.

"Distract the dragon for us then retreat when we've successfully made our escape." Jasper ordered like it was just a simple command. Is he seriously ordering his subordinate to his death, Scarlet thought. She was internally baffled that a little boy like Jasper could be this ruthless towards Anselme.

"As you wish." Before Scarlet could change Jasper's mind, Anselme bowed his head as a sign that he acknowledged Jasper's command.

Anselme bent his knees a little, launching like a rocket in the air making a crater on the ground where he once stood with great force. Scarlet's dress and hair were blown away by the strong wind. She covered her face with her arm. When the strong wind vanished, she lowered it, looking forward at Anselme's leaving back.

"Is he going to be okay?" she asked Jasper, concerned as her eyes followed Anselme's fly figure.

"No." Jasper replied directly, making Scarlet grimace beside him.

"You're an awful master." she said.

The little lord shrugged his shoulders. "I was called worse," he said.

Scarlet sighed in disbelief while shaking her head. Right now, she couldn't believe that an adorable looking little boy like Jasper could actually act so cold. His actions was in contradiction with how he actually looks on the outside making Scarlet wonder who Jasper really was. A while ago, she was unable to believe that Anselme was actually Jasper's servant, or that was what he wanted her to believe. She first thought Anselme was Jasper's uncle. But after witnessing the way Anselme treat the little brat with respect, she finally believed Jasper's words.

She knows too well that Jasper is hiding his true identity to her but she didn't push the boundaries to ask him about it. She knows where she stands, and Jasper is only here to help her get to the first layer of the other dimension. Nothing more. Scarlet knew that when they leave this place they will definitely go their separate ways.

Boom! BOOM BOOOM!

The sudden series of explosions and a dragon's furious growl forced Scarlet out of her thoughts. She glanced at the battlefield and saw Anselme fending off the dragon without any injuries on his body... yet. A dragon is not an easy creature to deal with. Based from Scarlet's memories, dragons were almost close to being godlike beings just like Eigeel and Eireen.

"Let's go." Jasper held Scarlet's hand before his little body shot out to the sky bringing the yelping Scarlet with him.

Scarlet couldn't fly on her own. She doesn't even know how to use her magic yet so she let Jasper take her for now.

Scarlet suddenly felt her body pulsating as it responded to something as they flew away from the dragon.

Immediately the dragon stopped fighting Anselme. Feeling the same pulse as Scarlet, it turned to the direction of the two fleeing figures.

"Shit!" Anselme cursed under his breath as he threw 2 balls of fire at the dragon to get its attention back to him. But the dragon dismissed him like a flee and flapped his wings, blowing Anselme away.

Looking back, at great speed, Scarlet saw the white dragon was heading towards them.

"Oh no! It's coming our way." she yelled, and Jasper looked back.

"Dammit!" he cursed, cursing Anselme at the same time who had failed miserably in his mission within his head.

The speed of Jasper and Scarlet was too slow. Jasper could easily defeat the dragon all by himself if all his powers were brought back to him. But he was too weak at the moment! The only way they could do is to escape and run away.

The white dragon roared before he drew his breath. He was about to unleash another fire breath when suddenly...

"Hiyaaaah!" a beautiful woman with white silver hair, wolf ears and a tail suddenly appeared. She came like a shooting star, her feet landing straight to the dragon's head before the dragon could unleash her fire breath. The dragon roared as it was thrown back from the force of the kick, crashing painfully on one of the floating islands.
