Scarlet's Awakening

Chapter 15 - Two Souls

Scarlet gazed down at the floating island that was almost ruined to pieces when the dragon crashed towards it. The force of that woman's kick must be tremendous! For it to be able to make a humongous white dragon fly away just from the impact of her kick she must be insanely strong. If a person without any magic powers were to receive such a powerful kick- the unfortunate soul would obviously be blown into little tid bits of flesh! The power of that kick can erase its existence and make it vanish into thin air! Good thing it was aimed for the dragon. If it was for a person, he would've been dead on the spot!

Looking at the place where the white dragon landed, Scarlet wondered... is the Dragon still alive or dead? Scarlet didn't know that Jasper was also capable of protecting her even though most of his magic were gone. She looked at the island and waited a little bit. She had a feeling that the white dragon would move and stand up. But there was no movement whatsoever. Only the uneasiness inside her c.h.e.s.t was there.

"Jasper," she tugged Jasper's arm beside her. "The dragon..." She pointed out. Jasper saw how worried she was.

"It's not dead yet." he said.

Confused, Scarlet turned to look at him. "How sure are you that it's not dead?" she asked.

"Dragons are very hard to kill. A mere kick will not kill it. It will only knock it unconscious for a while." he answered. Turning to look at the place where the dragon was. "He will wake up again." He said, grabbing her arm with his little hands. "We must leave before that happens."

Suddenly feeling a surge of magical power coming from above him. Jasper looked up and narrowed his eyes. There he saw a portal appearing above him. It grew bigger and bigger until six figures came out of it. The first guy he saw walking out of the portal was a tall man with blonde hair and blue eyes. It was Eigeel and behind him- the members of the Scarlet Order followed.

Jasper took a defensive stance, hiding Scarlet behind him even though he was small. He flashed a glare at the new arrivals like a guardian beast. He doesn't know who these people are or what they're doing at the 3rd level of the dark dimension. But one thing is for sure, he will protect Scarlet from them if they ever try to harm her.

While Jasper was thinking of a plan on how to escape the place unscathed with the intention of bringing Scarlet along with him. On the other hand, Eigeel's sky blue eyes was searching for Scarlet. His eyes settled on a little boy, which was Jasper, and beside that little boy was a beautiful woman who looked exactly like Scarlet.

Eigeel asked himself. How is this possible? She looked exactly the way Scarlet was before she shrunk and went into deep sleep 500 years ago! Before Eigeel could open his mouth to inquire if the beautiful woman was really the queen, he already guessed that something might had happened that made Scarlet regain all of her magic.

"Thanks the Gods!" Eigeel flinched in surprise when his twin sister Eireen suddenly shouted behind him. She rushed towards Scarlet in a hurry. And because of her hug, she pushed the annoyed face Jasper to the side, monopolizing his bride instead which made the little lord frown in annoyance.

Who is this woman and why is she hugging his fated one?

"Thank the Gods you're still alive." repeated Eireen.

"Yeah... I'm still alive..." Scarlet gazed at Eireen's beautiful face. She honestly felt sorry for making her subordinates worry, particularly Eireen. The lady was obviously scared judging on how much her body was shaking as she hugged her.

"You guys just came in time. How did you find me?" asked Scarlet.

"We used the soul binding spell to find you," Eigeel answered. "It was hard... But what's important at the moment is that you're safe."

Scarlet reached for Eireen's head to comfort her and it was effortless for Scarlet since she grew back to the height she once had. "You did a good job. Thank you, Eireen."

Feeling all of her emotions in turmoil, a tear rolled out of Eireen's eyes.

Scarlet turned to the other members of the Order, who were standing there watching them in silence.

"You made it just in time. You guys saved me." she said, then gave a grateful nod towards Silver. "Especially, you."

Silver's eyes immediately lit up in glee, "No need to thank me, your majesty." This is the first time she saw Scarlet after she went to sleep. The happiness of being acknowledged by the Queen after 500 years was growing bigger and bigger inside her c.h.e.s.t. She missed this feeling. She missed the feeling of pleasing her master.

"Squeeeee!" Out of nowhere, a crimson nine tailed fox that was as small as a little cat suddenly jumped on Scarlet's shoulder.

Scarlet flinched in surprise after noticing a furry little creature on her back. But she didn't brush off the little guy though. She let him affectionately rub his furry little head against hers.

Looking at the queen sandwhiched by Red and Eireen, the puzzled Aqua confronted Eigeel and asked in a quiet voice, "Um, I didn't know the queen had regained her magic?"

"I know," Eigeel's eyes glowed. Lighting up like a bulb that was a sign that he had activated a spell that can see magical energies within a person's body.

Upon activation, Eigeel saw every vein glowing inside Scarlet's body. And each vein was directly linked to the core in her stomach. Every person has a core. And Scarlet's core had already been completely full. That means that her magical energy has already recovered. Maybe that explains why her physical appearance was back to normal once again. That's because Magic energy and life energy are almost one and the same in this universe. When you lose a lot of your magical powers, you will be forced to use your life's energy to perform a spell.

While scanning her, Eigeel noticed something different...
