Scarlet's Awakening

Eigeel found that Scarlet was constantly absorbing magical energies in the air particles inside the other dimension without stopping. A normal person is supposed to feel sick at the moment because absorbing a lot of magic energies beyond a person's capabilities will kill that person. Yet staring at Scarlet as she talked with Eireen with a smiling face.

She looked fine and well instead. She didn't look like she was about to blow up any time soon.Then, Eigeel suddenly recalled the strange thing he saw when he was trying to locate Scarlet's exact location using the soul binding that link them together. Their souls were connected. And because of their connection, he saw that Scarlet's soul had been divided into two parts.

It is not a common occurrence in this world to have a divided soul. A person's soul can be seen in the form of a burning fire with its own special hue, and Scarlet's soul has two colors on each side. A normal person has one but she has two of them. There was a burning black and red fire on the left side, which was Scarlet's spirit that Eigeel knew too well. And the other one was burning white and blue!

Whose soul is it?

"Uhhh. Everyone, I think we should leave..." said Levin, who was looking at the spot where the dragon was.

All of them looked at the same direction. Right there and then, they heard a rumbling sound that only a reptile could make. That sound indicates that the dragon is waking up. The debris and dirt burying it under was being lifted up and set aside.

"Eireen! The portal! Now!" Eigeel urgently shouted.

Eireen separated herself from Scarlet, her face turning serious. "Okay."

"Protect the Queen!" Silver took a defensive stance between Scarlet and the White Dragon. Levin and Aqua followed Silver while Red, Eigeel and Jasper stood beside her.

Eireen closed her eyes, trying her best to concentrate in making the portal once again. But unfortunately, her energy was running low. Sending all of the members of the Order to the 3rd layer of the Other Dimension almost consumed all of her magical energy!

Eireen was about to turn to her twin brother to share his energy with her when she felt a warm hand on her shoulder and a strong wave of magical energy entered her body like flood.

"Keep concentrating."

It was Talon. He knew she was out of energy so he willingly shared his energy with her.

"How long will the portal be finished?" Jasper asked Eigeel all of a suddenly. And Eigeel was surprised when he heard the little boy asking him.

He didn't acknowledge the presence of the little kid beside Scarlet at first. But now that the little brat was talking to him, he was beginning to ask who and why is this little kid with the queen in the first place?

"For a while..." he answered while staring at Jasper's expression when it changed from blank and emotionless to frowning and unimpressed. This made Eigeel puzzled. Why is he frowning?

"Don't worry, boy. We're going to protect you. So, stand behind me and stay beside the queen."

Eigeel didn't know... Jasper was pissed at him. He dares to belittle his capabilities! Saying that he's weak and cannot protect his fated one! Also, if he had all of his powers it wouldn't take 'FOR A WHILE' for him to make the portal. This only proves how inferior the woman called Eireen is compared to him in full strength!

"Roar!!!"

"It's coming!" Silver shouted.

"Oh, I've been itching to fight for so long." Levin cracked his knuckles in anticipation.

"Me too. I've never had a decent fight these past few years." said Aqua, grinning in excitement as she spinned the silver Triton in her hands.

"Wait! We can't leave without Anselme!" Scarlet suddenly shouted making the others turn to her.

"Who?" Aqua exclaimed in confusion.

Without a sound, Red charged towards Aqua and bit her leg.

"Aw! Red! What are you doin you-"

"You forgot your manners, Aqua." Eigeel shook his head in disbelief. "You know that you can't address her majesty like your equal."

Aqua's eyes widen in shock and immediately look at me with a regretful expression. "I apologize, your majesty." Aqua bowed her head towards me, her closing her eyes in pain when Red growled and bit her leg even harder.

"You're forgiven, Aqua."

Scarlet turned towards Red who was still biting Aqua's leg with a locked jaw and said, "Red, that's enough." Those two words easily made the ferocious little fox to let go. Aqua immediately healed the bitten spot using her water magic.

"Your majesty, may I inquire who this Anselme person is?" Eigeel asked, his brows furrowed in concern when the Aqua issue has been addressed.

"He's my subordinate." Jasper answered, cutting Scarlet off when she was about to answer the same.

"Your subordinate?" Eigeel's eyes narrowed in suspicion. Before he could ask another question Eireen suddenly shouted.

"The portal is finished!" Eireen shouted happily which earned her a disappointed groan from Levin and Aqua who, in fact, wanted to stay longer.

Eigeel let the matter go for now and gestured for Scarlet to go in the portal first.

"No, we still have to wait for Anselme." Scarlet said in determination. She will not go inside the portal without Anselme. She wasn't going to leave anyone behind.

"Don't worry." Jasper touched her arm. "He's here already." he said, snapping his fingers and Anselme immediately appeared beside him in good condition.

"Oh!" Scarlet was surprised when Anselme suddenly appeared before her. She's still not used to him suddenly appearing in front of her without warning.

"Your majesty, now that he's here. Will you step in the portal now?" asked Eigeel which Scarlet answered with a series of nods.

"Sure! Sorry for the hold up." made an unconscious peace sign with her hands and went inside the portal

Eigeel didn't comment on the strange hand gesture that Scarlet just used and the words she just said. He turned towards Levin, Silver and Aqua in the front lines, not saying anything but the three already knew what that look was for. It meant that they will be going inside the portal last. They still have a dragon to fend off.
