Scarlet's Awakening

Anselme reluctantly left after Jasper gave him a silent nod. He didn't want to leave him alone and injured but sadly, he had no choice.

Jasper was too stubborn to go with his suggestion.

If he didn't agree to leave then his stubborn master would surely ditch him and go to his beloved wife even though he was badly hurt. Disregarding his safety all together.

Anselme couldn't help but to only sigh internally. This is all too new for him to swallow.

But he had to get used to it.

The Jasper he knew before was an unfeeling and cold man, he was strict and emotionless towards his mother and his subordinates.

He was never this concerned or worried for anyone. Not until he married Scarlet... Because of her, the cold unfeeling Jasper become a clingy little husband instead.

Anselme didn't picture this to ever happen and its spooking him to the bone, big time! However, Anselme understood his fear a little. She dies, he dies as well.

Now that their souls are connected by a strong magic binding them together, they were already inseparable.

All he can do is only pray his mistress is safe.

Meanwhile... Inside the tea shop.

Jasper clenched his aching c.h.e.s.t as dread and fear enveloped his heart.

"Please be safe. Just please be safe..." he whispered in a husky shaky voice.

He reached for the gemstone that was identical to the necklace he gave Scarlet before he left. He run his fingers to its soft surface, closed his eyes and prayed silently.

He was really worried the moment he felt that something was wrong on Scarlet's end.

He knew the situation through the necklace. It was growing hot on his c.h.e.s.t, a sign that Scarlet was in trouble so, he immediately came to her rescue and willingly transmitted his mana through the necklace without thinking.

The reason he left Scarlet the necklace was to become a bridge between them and to monitor her safety now that they're currently far from each other. The necklace's other purpose was to also alert him if ever Scarlet's life gets exposed to danger. With that he will know and come to her side and save her.

Unfortunately, his internals were injured and he couldn't use teleportation to go to her and check if she was alright. He'll have to rely on Anselme to bring him to her. He has to see her with his own eyes that she's safe.

Meanwhile... inside the Rozen Palace

The state of Scarlet's room was disastrous. Everything was blown away by the explosion including the intricately designed walls of her room. Everything wouldn't be back to their former state without the help of Eigeel's magic.

Eigeel sighed in frustration as he stood beside Scarlet's bed.

"Why is this always happening when no one's guarding her?" He was done repairing the place. Talon and Aqua stood behind him while Red lay next to Scarlet's unconscious body.

"You think this is a sneak attack?" Awua asked, worry written all over her face as she silently watched Scarlet sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Talon shook his head in response to her words.

"No. This wasn't an attack." He said, seriously, "All of this was caused by the queen's magic herself." He was normally silent all the time but during rare occasions like this, he talks.

Aqua frowned, she didn't believe any of his words.

"Stop spouting nonsense, Talon! It only proves that you're mad in the head. Think about it, why would her majesty hurt herself? It doesn't make sense!"

Talon didn't reply to her words but his face was stern and serious. He was standing strong on his observation and he wasn't backing out even though it didn't make sense. It was no mistake. He absolutely felt Scarlet's magic during the explosion.

Seeing Talon's serious expression, Aqus turned towards Eigeel.

"I bet this is an act to not just hurt her majesty, but to kill her as well! Ohh! I swear those sneaky bastards will pay for what they've done... Please give me the order, Eigeel. I'll investigate this incident personally."

Eigeel turned to look at Aqua. "No need." He sternly replied, "I already know who the culprit is and I will take care of him myself... What's important is that the queen is safe. That's all that matters."

"But, Eigeel, let me help you-"

Eigeel shook his head, cutting her off completely.

"I'm going to take care of this matter alone, and that's final... I want you to stay here with Talon and watch over the queen when I leave. Don't let anything happen to her again, understand?"

Aqua pursed his lips and sighed, giving up to his better judgement. "I understand... Talon and I will guard her with our lives."

Eigeel gave her a small smile of appreciation, "Thank you for understanding, Aqua"

Aqua smiled back at him, "Be careful. You're still hurt from protecting her majesty awhile ago. Ask Katerina to heal you before you leave."

Eigeel nodded in reply, "I will," then he turned towards Talon, "...Guard her without fail this time." he said, giving Talon a light pat on the shoulder.

"Yes."

After seeing Talon's determination, Eigeel left knowing Scarlet will be safe from danger this time.

Talon and Aqua saw the dark shadow looming on Eigeel's face before he left, they still don't know who the culprit is. But, they were sure that whoever tried to hurt the queen, would pay a hefty price.

They should try their best and hide... Because Eigeel was coming for them.

If Scarlet knew what was happening around her when she was unconscious, she would obviously spit a mouthful of blood since all they're thinking is so far from the truth.

No one attacked her!

It was all her own doing that she's laying in bed and was unconsciously oblivious to the huge misunderstanding that was happening around her!

Meanwhile...

Talon and Aqua didn't know that while their beloved queen layed there sleeping without any injuries or scratches on her body- her thoughts, however, was actually dreaming...

In her dream, she was standing in a middle of a vast meadow.

She looked around.

"Where am I?" she muttered. All she saw was grassland around her and it stretched as far as her eyes can see.

Where exactly is this place?

Scarlet was about to shout "Hello!" out loud when suddenly she felt a light tap on her shoulder.

"Ahh!"

She screamed when she saw a little alien with wings flying behind her like a mosquito!

The creatures skin color was blue, and it has a humanoid body with an unusually cute face that was sporting large watery eyes and long elven ears on both sides of her face.

"W-Who-"

The creature was innocently looking at her in curiosity, "Hi! Sorry for scaring you..." She apologized with a child like smile lighting up her small face.

So, this creature speaks!

"Uhhh." She didn't know how to react at the moment. She wasn't actually expect a friendly response from the creature after she screamed straight at its face a while ago thinking it was offended by her behaviour. Even though the creature was small and cute, she honestly think it was going to attack her.

It was her paranoia is acting up again.

After a while...

Scarlet cleared her throat. "Uhm. W-Who are you?"

The little creature immediately smiled. "Oh! I'm sorry for not introducing myself, mistress, so please forgive me... To answer mistress's question, I am the support system you just personally created to assist you with your new life in this new world! Hehe!"

Scarlet's lips formed a big O when she finally realized that this creature was actually the being she tried her b.u.t.t off creating (almost losing her life in the process).

"Master, please give me a name!"
