The Adventurer System

Chapter 188 - The Great Imperial Dragon

For Adventurer 2.0 update a new world was awaited the all adventurers. Well, Yumiro pursued himself to finish the barlane quest. But, the given time made him realized he couldn't make it.

In front of them was a green gleaming light that coming to Hippie's kobold's knife.

'Phew, how long this tunnel? I can't hold it anymore... this place so stinks.' He uttered to his mind as he pinched his nose to reduce the smell.

Grim's party members did the same thing because even them: couldn't stand with the smell that releasing by this tunnel.

"Shit, where this smell came from? The smell like a decomposed body of a rat?" Morga attempted to puke.

"Stay still, Morga. Grim is a picky man, you should hold that for now." Hippie warned her.

On the other hand, the smell was suddenly changed. As the entire place was enveloped by the smell of iron.

"Blood?"

It was the exact word on how they were going to describe the stuff they were noticed in this tunnel.

"You're right, leader Grim. I think there's a creature battling here." Cricket agreed to him.

After a few were moments. Grim's party were reached an accumulated distance of 120 meters. Moreover, all of them saw an arc within a 45 meters, signed that they were already found the exit.

"Be ready, I feel we will fight a new monster once we leave this place." He said in a low tone, aside from that, he didn't release that he already opened his mouth most of the time.

Aside from Morga, Cricket also could feel the mana flowing in this place was getting denser. And he had a strong gut, a perilous situation was about to come.

As soon as they reached, their feet were touched to the green blood. So Yumiro immediately pointed his index finger to the place.

"Hippie, hurry used your knife to see the place." He said, then stepped back a bit so he could block the green light.

She nodded and stepped forward. "Yeah." Strolled her knife all the place and the seemed to be normal until... 4 of them saw the monster's corpse.

"Shit! What is the meaning of this?" Morga blinking her eyes in confusion and couldn't believe someone killed those giant monsters.

As expected, Cricket and Morga were the first time seeing this type of monster. Yet, by just observing their physique and reading the basic information given by the system. They know, they probably would have a hard time facing this monster.

"Gobogren? Who the f*ck killed them?" Yumiro murmured, but still, he had a suspicious smile on his face. As the monsters' core was there. That means someone made his job a lot easier.

6 Gobogrens were lying on the ground. But, their body was apparently eaten by the worm. However, they died in a brutal way as their face was cut by half.

12 Gobogren Grim already killed. Once he took their cores they will be added by 6, which means, he just needed 7 more to complete the quest.

Without consuming some of their time, Yumiro seized these cores even though he felt suck by doing it.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

After a few seconds, all the monster's corpse was turned into a red particle that blew by the mild air.

"It's gross. It's really gross." He turned around and asked them. "Hey, there's someone who brought something like water?"

Morga raised her hand while her other hand was pinching her nose. "Mwe, ivwentory!" She pulled out her bottled water, then sauntered closer to Grim. "Here..."

"Spill to my hand." He said while glaring at her.

Morga couldn't do anything, she just obeyed his order.

...

When the time Grim was felt comfortable, he took a glance at the place where the dark was suspicious.

Swoosh!

Then suddenly, an orange portal appeared next to them. That made them feel anxious, "Something isn't right. Why this portal appeared even we didn't any clue about this story."

"Yu-hoo! Grim, look! The portal arrived, we can leave this place and jump into the next portal." Hippie cheerfully said, then attained closer distance within the orange portal.

Cricket and Morga were feeling the same thing, as they minimize the worst-case scenario that might happen.

"Let's go, leader Grim. We should leave this place before it closes." Cricket said, as the women already jumped in the portal.

He sharply sighed and nodded. "I guess, you're right." He replied, then added. "There's no reason to think all the things, it just going to be worst."

Swoosh!

Cricket left the place, but suddenly Yumiro tremendous chill over his body. Also, he unexpectedly kneeled to the ground.

"Shit, what this happening? My legs are trembling for no good reason." He narrowly lifted his head and felt someone staring at him.

It feels like a massive vibration implanted his body. At this point, no one could hear his voice even he asked for some help.

[Physical transmission!]

To regain his footing, Yumiro enhanced his physical strength. He then placed his hand on his knees and hardly pushed himself.

"Ahh, I can do this!"

Somehow, he barely stood up to the green bloody ground. Next to him, the portal was quite normal because it had no changes on its or its color.

"Tch! Why all this time? I should leave this place." Yumiro admitted that he was terrified. Since he experienced that it was his last day in the VR world.

She slowly moved his legs towards the orange portal, yet he unexpectedly stopped as the gruff voice was perceived by his ears.

"Hey, Human! You should stop right there."

After hearing those words, Yumiro glance back in the place. Nevertheless, he saw nothing just the black-greeny eyes.

"Who are you? Reveal yourself!" He ordered him, knowing that size of those eyes wasn't suitable for a certain adventurer either the Gobogren.

"I don't you should raise your voice at me." The unknown voice responded along with a shock wave.

Boom!

An explosion happened next to him, which made him fell to the ground once again.

"Oi! What is that all about?" Yumiro was savvy that he couldn't dodge attacks or either receive them.

"I guessed, you've calmed down a bit. Why let's have a chat?"

Yumiro nodded and accepted the fact this was the right thing to do. "Okay, but what do you need from me?"

"Uh-uh, wrong question. You need me."

He raised his brows, then fixed his sitting position. "I need you? Why? I don't even know you."

"Not right now, you know it very soon."

He was confused. "What are you saying? I didn't get it no matter how I hardly used my brain."

The unknown voice was chuckled. "I already said it, you will know it at the right time. Also, you should stop the digging the story of the barlane dungeon."

"Hey, who are you? What is the information you know in the story?" It seemed, that man's voice really caught his attention.

"Grim Draigh or Yumiro Gritz, which one do you preferred to call you?"

He forcefully pushed himself into a stood-up position. He then charged in the place where he heard that voice.

"Damn it, who are you?!" He couldn't stop himself since someone knew his real identity.

[Dash]

However, Yumiro was hardly pushed back and his back whacked to the ground. As the strong wind forced him.

Thud!

Some blood spilled out of his mouth, on top of that, his health power was reduced by 15% just like that.

"Not yet, Grim. You should train for more, and leave this dungeon. You should take my advice because I know it more than you."

"I-I can't, we can't use our teleportation crystal. Also, I know it's a big opportunity for me to find a rare item."

The unknown chuckled once again. "Use your head, Grim. The update tomorrow is about to happen, which means that the crystal you've mentioned would possibly work right now. If you bothered, try it."

Even Grim didn't believe him, still, Grim saw the transparent crystal was activated. "Hey, why do you know about that?"

"It's none of your business, also stick with the party you've right now if will help you to reach the top." The voice suddenly stopped. "Find me, Grim. I'm your way to reach the Heaven's Dream."

Yumiro annoyingly scratched the back of his head as no one of his words Grim understood.

"Find you? I don't even know you!" He said in a high tone.

"Once you unlock your 2nd zexel and you're strong enough, find me. I'm Kite the Great Imperial Dragon."

His eyelids were widened after seeing a shady scale on the place where his eyes were darted.

"What?! D-Dragon?" He stuttered.

"You heard it enough, you should leave this place before it's too late."

After those words, Kite used its tale to blow Grim back to the portal.

"W-Wait, I want to ask for more!" Grim yelled.

Kite deeply sighed. "He's dumber than I thought."
