Mr Lin was enjoying himself not knowing that after the banquet, his career would come to an end. It was already 8:00pm, the banquet was almost coming to an end.

"I'm leaving" Wen Lan said as she got up from her seat. She, like the rest of the people seating at her tale couldn't stand Mr Lin's behavior and she also received a text message.

Few minutes later, the banquet ended. Hua Ruo Lan was careful enough to avoid her cousin and was waiting for her driver when Mr Lin called her.

"Ruo Lan" Mr Lin said as he approached her swinging his car keys.

"Who are you waiting for?"Mr Lin asked as he looked at his wrist watch."It is very late..come let me drop you off"

"Thank you for your offer Mr Lin but I'm waiting for my driver" Hua Ruo Lan declined.

"Ruo Lan..nowadays these drivers are incompetent... come let me drop you off...don't be shy" Mr Lin persisted.

"No..really sir..I'm fine" Hua Ruo Lan said. Mr Lin grabbed her and drew her closely.

"Ruo Lan..how long are you going to play dumb?....you obviously know that I like you a lot so why are you refusing me?" Mr Lin asked.

"Mr Lin..stop..I told you that I'm married" Hua Ruo Lan reminded. Mr Lin laughed.

"Married?...sorry I don't believe you...and even if you are married...is your husband better than me?...look at where I'm working...the famous Lu conglomerate... its not easy to secure a job here..Ruo Lan just accept me and let's get on with it" Mr Lin said. At this point, Hua Ruo Lan became tired of explaining things to him over and over again.

"Come let's go" Mr Lin said as he gripped her hand.

"Let me go" Hua Ruo Lan said as she forcefully removed her hand from his grip. Mr Lin was about to hold her again when he heard his name. Lu Qian's assistant walked towards them.

"Boss wants your resignation letter" Lu Qian's assistant whispered into Mr Lin's ear. Those five words made Mr Lin's mood change in an instant.

"Wha...what?"Mr Lin asked in disbelief.

"He's waiting for it" Mr Lin said confirming what he just said. Mr Lin walked slowly to his office. How in the world did he get fired?.He never had problems with his boss before, how come he was being fired?.

"Madam are you OK?" the assistant asked after he was sure that Mr Lin was far away from them.

"Yes...I'm fine...listen please don't tel your master about this" Hua Ruo Lan said.

"I'm pretty sure he knows" the assistant as he looked up. Lu Qian was standing beside a window watching everything. Not quite long, Hua Ruo Lan's driver came.

"Tell him thank you for me" Hua Ruo Lan said as she entered into the car and left.

Hua Ruo Lan fixed her eyes on various buildings as the driver drove past them. Suddenly, her phone rang. It was Li Yan.

"I found her" Li Yan said excitedly.

"Where is she now?" Hua Ruo Lan asked.

"At Phoenix hotel... I just hacked into the security camera a few minutes ago...Ruo Lan she just counted four bullets and...." Li Yan didn't finish when Hua Ruo Lan hung up.

Few minutes later, Hua Ruo Lan arrived at the Phoenix hotel. There seemed to be a party going on. When she looked closely she realized that it was Ye Ruo Shi's birthday party. Mu Feng who had an accident was visibly present at the party. He was talking and laughing with some guests while holding Ye Ruo Shi's waist, whispering in her ears and kissing her cheeks which made Ye Ruo Shi blush. Hua Ruo Lan clenched her fists in anger while her face turned red. So every time she wasn't present at Ye Ruo Shi's birthday party, Mu Feng and Ye Ruo Shi used that opportunity to get close to each other. Hua Ruo Lan blamed her self for being a fool. Soon it was time to dance and Mu Feng and Ye Ruo Shi went to the dance floor. The lights were out and only the spotlight could be seen as it gave light to Mu Feng and Ye Ruo Shi who were happily waltzing. Hua Ruo Lan's eyes caught a familiar face holding a gun and pointing it at Mu Feng. It was Wen Lan. She his in a dark part of the room which had a door close to it for easy escape. Hua Ruo Lan walked cautiously towards her.

"Wen Lan" Hua Ruo Lan called as Wen Lan turned to the person who was calling her. She was shocked to see Hua Ruo Lan. She wanted to hide the gun but it as too late, Hua Ruo Lan had already seen it so she didn't bother.

"What are you doing here and why are you holding a gun?" Hua Ruo Lan asked confused.

"why I'm here?...I'm here to kill this son of a b**ch who took my sister from me" Wen Lan answered.

"OK...so after killing him, you know you are likely going to end up in prison" Hua Ruo Lan said.

"I don't care" Wen Lan said holding the trigger.

"I'm sure you do because if you didn't you wouldn't hide in the dark,you would go to the dance floor and blow his brains out and you also won't be standing close to an escape door" Hua Ruo Lan said as she smiled at her. Wen Lan looked at her with a confused face. Who was this woman?. She lowered her gun as she continued looking at her.

"If you want to kill someone quietly, don't use a noisy gun like the 9mm Para pistol you're holding." Hua Ruo Lan said to Wen Lan who was both confused and shocked."

"I think a .32 ACP Welrold Pistol would be better" Hua Ruo Lan said as she took away the gun from Wen Lan and removed the bullets.
