The four maids were all startled. As they saw the face of the man, the surprised look on their faces gradually disappeared. Then they gave obeisance to him and spoke in a low voice, “It’s an honor to meet you, Lord Wolf Fang!”

Wolf Fang, the Lord of the Ghost World, was a paramount and powerful guy who had come to the Heaven Peak Palace several times before. The four maids hadn’t stayed with the King as long as Uncle White, but long enough to meet Wolf Fang every time he had come. What was more, when he had just come today, they had already greeted him once. Therefore, they recognized his face at once.

“Thanks. Do you know what happened?”

Wolf Fang looked to the inside of the Palace with a frown. Just now he had been discussing something with the King. However, the King suddenly disappeared in front of him. That was something which had never happened before. Then, Wolf Fang followed the smell of the King to the Quiet Stage Palace. Little did he expect that he would see the King holding a boy in his arms.

‘If I am not wrong, the boy should be Feng Xi, who’s also the golden spirit which Fire Phoenix and the Lord of the Transmigration Palace have told me.’

Although Wolf Fang knew that Fire Phoenix and Lord of the Transmigration Palace wouldn’t lie to him, he still found their words hard to believe when they told him about the boy because he couldn’t figure out why the noble and mysterious King would protect and spoil an ordinary human soul.

After that, His Majesty showed up.” One of the maids replied reverently. She and the other three maids all found the thing which had just happened very weird.

Wolf Fang fixed his eyes on the crystal desk in the Palace again. However, this time his attention was caught by a purple jade slip.

That purple jade slip had been sent here by him just now, recorded on which were lots of important things. Due to the importance of the affair, he had added some spiritual energy which was able to make the one who wanted to read that purple jade slip vanish right away if that person didn’t have a strong soul or great power.

Wolf Fang, having thought over the King’s movements as well as the words of the maid, gradually got a whole picture of what had happened. Seeing Wolf Fang suddenly showing a sullen look, the four maids couldn’t help looking at each other at a loss. One of them nerved herself and asked, “My lord, is there a problem?”

The maids were surprised to hear Wolf Fang asking that, but they still answered his question honestly.

We all find Young Master very adorable!” The maids said that smilingly, looking very gorgeous like the flowers.

Wolf Fang didn’t expect that the boy would be adored so much by the King and also favored by the maids.

With mixed feelings inside his heart, Wolf Fang walked into the Quite Stage Palace. After he had made a few turns, he finally saw the King’s figure.

On the sacrificial altar, the boy was being wrapped by a layer of golden light, with his pale face gradually turning red. Judging from the quiet expression on his face, he seemed to have fallen into a sound sleep. Suddenly, he changed to a comfortable posture in the King’s arms while using his cheek to rub the King’s with a glimmer of a smile on his face.

Seeing the two figures in the light, Wolf Fang suddenly felt the scene weirdly harmonious. Then he swallowed the question which he had wanted to ask while hesitating about whether he should step into the room.

After the King found the boy in his arms was fine, he wanted to put the latter on the soft bed. However, the boy grabbed the King’s sleeve tightly. Then the King let the boy stay in his arms and turned around to speak to Wolf Fang in a cold voice, “Come in!”

Wolf Fang didn’t dare to neglect that order and walked to the King right away. Knowing that the King must have already known the whole thing, Wolf Fang then said honestly, “Your Majesty, has Young Master read the purple jade slip? I was afraid that the secret document would be leaked, so I have set in it the spiritual energy which could attack one’s soul. I never expect that Young Master would read the jade slip!”

“I know, this has nothing to do with you.” The King nodded, having no intention to blame the latter.

Wolf Fang knew that the King wouldn’t blame him so he wasn’t nervous or worried at all. Even so, he could still tell that the King worried about the boy in his arms a lot. As a matter of fact, he was shocked to see the King allowing the boy to sleep in his arms. Wolf Fang now realized that what Fire Phoenix and the Lord of the Transmigration Palace had told him was still not enough to describe how much the King treasured the boy.

Then, the lord suddenly remembered that the King had deprived the nether people of their noble identity for the boy. When he heard that news, he was extremely suspicious. Now that he saw the King and boy together by himself, he suddenly felt that it was one hundred percent true that the King had degraded the nether people for the boy.

This time, because one guard had neglected his duty, ten Black Spirits escaped from the Ghost World. According to the investigation, those Spirits had already arrived in the God and Demon Kingdom. Wolf Fang hadn’t wanted to bother King of the Netherworld with this before. However, a secret force had sabotaged his action of arresting those spirits.
