The Legendary Ruler

Chapter 8 - The Capital, Primus

Henry felt his vision blurry and he heard a terrible noise, like the sound of nails scraping on a blackboard that made him feel nauseous.

"Welcome back prince" - Henry faintly heard a familiar voice echoing in front of him.

*Blurgh*

He threw up immediately.

The teleportation after effects...he would never get used to it. It was by far the worst sensation he ever felt in his two lives.

"PRINCE!!"- Godfrey anxiously yelled as he dashed towards Henry.

He didn't know what laid behind the entrance to give the prince this much trouble.

"I am okay Godfrey"- Henry said, signaling for Godfrey that he was fine.

'It seems like the prince was okay' - Godfrey sighed in relief as he thought.

"Did you succeed?"- Godfrey asked with inquisitive eyes, as he looked at the prince who held a black sword that seemed to be permeated in a dangerous aura.

"You could say so"- Henry answered as he looked at the Heaven Swallowing Sword in his hands.

"Let's go back to the Palace"- Henry told Godfrey as he began to walk back towards the Capital city of the Anvil Kingdom, Primus.

His small steps were filled with confidence as he marched into the forest, like a powerful general commanding a whole army.

"Prince, the capital it's not that way"- Godfrey scratched his head as he reminded the mighty little prince in front of him.

*Cough*

"Of course, I know Godfrey, I was just testing you and co graduations, you passed beautifully"- The prince turned around and said to Godfrey in a serious tone, like an old wise man.

However, his face red as a tomato. It was the first time he came to this forest, so he still didn't know his way around, but he couldn't lose face in front of his subordinate. Henry turned around and followed through the right path.

Seeing this, a small smile appeared on Godfrey's lips.

"The prince is so cute"- He thought as he followed behind him, still with that lingering smile.

Primus City was located on the coast and had the biggest port in the country. The city was built thousands of years ago by the Anvil Ancestor when he founded the kingdom.

The city economy revolved around the numerous merchants that came to the town to buy and sell all kinds of things.

Henry and Godfrey were heading towards the palace. They put on ripped gray cloaks, as a way to go unnoticed, since they couldn't warn their enemies about their arrival.

"This way prince"

Godfrey said, leading them towards a dirty and stinky wet alley, filled with rats and human feces.

"This way"

They walked deeper and deeper until they reached a dead end, where there was only a manhole made of pure iron. Godfrey got on his knees and pulled it up.

Henry gasped as he watched a row of stairs appear under it.

"Fast Prince"- Godfrey said as he signaled for Henry to enter.

After both of them got inside, Godfrey gave a quick and final look at the alley to see if no one followed them and then he closed the entrance, letting everything turn back to normal.

"What is this place?"- Henry asked curiously.

After he descended the stairs, Henry found himself in a narrow and dimly lit corridor. The walls seemed to be filled with cracks as if hundreds of years passed since this tunnel was constructed

"This is an emergency exit constructed by your great grandfather when the Country was about to be invaded"

"Luckily the time where this place was needed never came to be"

Godfrey responded as he lifted his hands, creating a small fireball that illuminated a few meters around them.

This was one of the uses of Qi. It could transform into any kind of element as long as you had the skill and talent necessary. Of course, some people had more affinity to some elements than others

"Let's go, Prince"

----x----

Five days passed since the journey to the inheritance ground.

Henry sat on a luxurious wood chair. In front of him, there were tens of books, ranging from biology to history. Since he came to this world, he tried to acc.u.mulate as much knowledge as he could, since he knew that knowledge was the most powerful weapon in the world.

"There is no record of the Heaven Swallowing sword and neither of that dragon"

"And those Noble beasts clans, it seems like they already began their preparations...in at most ten years they will make their move"

"But let's see if they are capable of usurping my throne"- A chilly killing intent covered the room as Henry pronounced those words.

According to the spies planted in those rebel clans, the Noble Families already began to form their private armies.

"They are in for a big surprise"- Henry said with a cold smile on his face.

Given enough time, he had the confidence to overthrow all enemies with a flip of his hands. Henry knew that with his new bloodline and cultivation technique, he would rapidly become a powerful figure in this continent.

"Prince, the lunch is ready"

Henry heard Godfrey's voice coming from behind the door.

"Anyway...that's for the future"- Henry eyes brighter when he heard the word 'lunch' and 'ready' in the same phrase.

"Let's go, Godfrey!"- Henry yelled and dashed out of the room

"What a glutton"- The man said as he watched the little figure disappearing from his view.
