Worlds Conquering Necromancer

Chapter 21 - The Forest

All this time Emily was watching from the sky along with the flying division, which served as messengers for her orders. Under her supervision and thanks to the squad leaders' abilities, all enemy groups have been wiped out.

Advancing further southeast, they found an enormous forest and a mountain far to the east.

"Hmm.. That means there are territories with different ecosystems, and I bet they have a diversity of monsters. It was easy until now, but things might get dangerous later on."

While she was talking to herself, a scout came back from the battlefront.

"Master, there seems to be monsters in the forest. We heard shouts and screams from the enemies that managed to retreat there. They were silenced in no time." said a male lesser vampire with blonde hair and red, ruby-like eyes, special for all vampires.

"Alright, gather all blood warriors at the entrance into the forest. I have an idea." she said looking through the trees with her "heightened senses" and "hawk eyes". She detected shadows with different sizes and characteristics, the majority armed with what looked like bows and daggers.

She went down to the camp where the goblin groups rested after the battle to reward them for their hard work. She gave meat to the group leaders to share with the rest. When it was Baz' time to take the provisions, he unexpectedly asked for something.

"Master, we have done our work perfectly, could we have some booze? The boys are stressed because they are far from their families, and alcohol will make them feel better." Baz pleaded, trying to look as pitiful as possible, even making puppy eyes.

'Ugh, these drunkards, at least wait until the end of the day when everybody's free.' she thought, wanting to drink with them. Since she became a vampire, her taste

She gave in and brought out of her inventory four barrels with low concentration alcohol. It was made at Cavetown using the honey of some herbivores monsters looking like 40-60 centimeters bees, and had a sweet, irresistible taste.

Seeing this, all goblins started to praise her and Baz.

"Master is the best master in the world!!"

"Master is our benefactor!!"

"Baz is a real man!"

"Master and Baz are really pretty!!" said the goblin that has previously complemented Baz' good looks. Once again, everybody moved away from him, giving him disdainful looks.

"Okey... I've got to go, but promise me you won't get totally drunk, you might have to fight more today." said Emily, walking towards the blood warriors.

"Understood!" responded everyone, eager to open the barrels and drink.

'I knew it~, homos.e.x.u.a.ls and bis.e.x.u.a.ls are present even in this fantasy world!' Emily thought with a slight smile and rosy cheeks. She had the chance to read novels and mangas with "Boys Love" in her previous life. She soon reached the lesser vampires stationed near the forest.

"Look, master is so eager to fight, she's even smiling." said one of the blood warriors.

"Yeah, even her face got red from excitement." said another one.

"Attention everybody! We will go directly into the enemy's trap, then attack and capture as many as we can. Those guys are a different faction from the ones we killed before, they are more powerful, skillful and better prepared so be on full alert. I will lead the attack this time." she said, snapping out of her personal, little, pink world.

She made 26 new blood bows from the blood of the spiders and some arrows, taking one bow for herself, while the rest were for half of the group. She needed at least some long distance units as the flying division wouldn't detect the enemies because of the enormous trees' and their big leaves.

They advanced at a slow pace, trying to catch even the smallest sounds. Suddenly, Emily found something up ahead.

"Shields up and archers ready to fir-"

*Whoosh!

Just when she was about to finish the sentence, an arrow was shot towards her at high speed. Thanks to her senses and stats, she managed to catch it before it pierced her face.

"Get them!" she screamed, before using the "Hawk Eyes", aiming at the one who tried to shoot her.

*Swoosh!

The arrow was sent flying at an incredible speed, penetrating through the leg of the enemy, sending him down with its impact force.

*Waaaaagh!

The small goblin howled in pain as he fell head down, and after this he passed out.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

*Clank! Clank!

Arrows were sent flying by both sides, while the melee troops advanced forward. As the enemy archers were falling one by one, a war cry resounded through the forest.

*Roargh!

A group of 60 orcs, big, ugly, bulky and wild creatures, were running at full speed towards the archers from the south. The majority had big axes as their weapons, while some had big bludgeons. The last five orcs even had steel armor.

"You're allowed to kill if they pressure you too much." said Emily nocking another arrow, aiming towards the enemy and head-shotting an armored orc, even though he was in the back of the group.

Before they could even reach the archers, their numbers lowered to less than 40, as the rest were either incapacitated or killed.

"Warriors, get your asses here and attack them from the back!" she shouted, while changing her bow into a large two-handed sword. The others followed her and took defensive stances, ready for the incoming wave of enemies.

The blood warriors and Emily were faster than the orcs, so they either parried, evaded or killed the enemy on the impact.

Sadly, one of them has been ganged by five orcs at the same time. He evaded the first and the second one, then parried the third one, but in the end got tackled by the last two.

Before he could get back up his hands and legs were held down, leaving him no way out as his comrades were pretty busy themselves. In the end, an orc smashed his head with a bludgeon several times, crushing it to something unrecognizable.

Just then came their reinforcements which managed to finish the first group, striking the orcs unexpectedly from the back, managing to either exterminate or knock them out.

*Hoo~ Hoo~

Emily panted, as this was the biggest battle she had ever taken part in herself. She took a look around, assessing the situation.

"Poor soul, I'm sorry I didn't manage to help you." she said, looking with pity at the dead warrior's mutilated corpse.

"These guys are pretty strong. To kill a blood warrior, even if thanks to numerical superiority, is a feat in itself." She said, then walked towards the corpse of an orc. "Just imagine what power they'll get after becoming my subordinate vampires."

She sent a subordinate to call the goblins to help them transport the prisoners back to the camp, then started looting the battlefield.

"Keep an eye on those alive and knock them out if they wake up."

After arriving back at the camp Emily allowed her subordinates to drink and laze around, with the exception of the guardians, those managing the prisoners and the interrogations. She sat near the campfire and sorted out everything she had gone through, and everything she has planned for the future.
