Worlds Conquering Necromancer

Chapter 22 - Monster Empire

Early in the morning, a hobgoblin entered hurriedly into Emily's tent. His name was Glukz, one of the first goblins from Cavetown which managed to evolve. He served as an advisor and commander on this expedition.

"Ma-Master, we've got information from the captives.", he said trying to catch his breath.

"Finally, what have you managed to extract from them?" she asked expectantly, while sipping some honey-made alcohol.

"This floor is divided in five parts, the desert at north-west and south-east, the mountains at north-east, the swamp at south-west and the forest in the middle, connected to all of them. They are a part of the scouting group of a monster empire in the southwest territory, while the goblins and kobolds groups from the desert were the deserters and outcast of said empire.

The empire is leaded by an orc lord named Orgug, who rules over tens of thousands monsters of different races with an iron fist. The empire's way of thinking is that the strong eats the weak, so they have a hierarchy based on strength, where the orcs, trolls and ogres stand on top."

"Good, now we at least now where and who is our enemy. Glukz, do you know what kind of monsters are living in the swamps and the mountains?"

"The swamps are occupied by swamp trolls, ogres, swamp goblins and crocodiles, while the mountains are inhabited by ice trolls, mountain goblins and yetis." said Glukz, trying to remember all the monsters.

"You worked hard, Glukz. Tell Baz that I need him and go rest for a bit, you haven't slept at all tonight." she said in a soft manner. Glukz worked wholeheartedly all night to get that information.

"Understood." he said, full of pride that he managed to help his master, and got out to fulfill her orders.

'We better take on one territory at a time, or we might sustain too many casualties or even lose. The forest is out of the question as we might get surrounded and attacked from all sides, so remains the mountains and the swamp...' while she was thinking how to continue this expedition, Baz came in.

"Master, Glukz said you wanted to see me." Baz felt a little shaky and nauseous after the drinking spree the night before.

"Send a group of 20 goblins to Cavetown to bring back half of the undead army. Give them this ring to show their authenticity. When they come back, we will already be at the swamp. Also, we're going to attack the swamp in two hours. I want everything ready until then." The ring was made from the blood of some insect, so it had the color of their blood, dark blue.

"Allright..." He went out, trying not to trip and fall accidently because of his hangover.

Emily decided that the goblins and hobgoblins would fight easier in the swamp rather than in the cold climate of the mountains, while her undead could fight without any problems in any climate.

Waiting for those two hours to pass, she checked her status, thinking how to distribute her points.

She decided to rise all her stats to 46 spending 22 points, and the rest 23 to rise her Intelligence stat to 89.

"I need high mana to make more undead and use spells, but I need other stats as well. It would be bad if I couldn't use my mana in a battle because it's exhausted, or thanks to a trap or one of my enemy's skills." She left the skill points untouched as she might have to use them later.

It took her roughly 30 minutes before going out to check the situation in the camp. From up in the sky, the camp would look like a nest of ants working rigorously. They checked the equipment and uninstalled the tents, some even found time to further train their bodies or melee and ranged skills.

"I'm training them into an army of bodybuilders, but it's not that bad, I guess... The stronger they are, the higher their chances to survive." For the remaining time until the attack she made some new lesser vampires from the orcs.

The captured orcs' stats were somewhat similar to this:

After becoming undead, they preserved their respective skills and titles and even gained up to 10 points in every stat.

When two hours finally passed, Glukz came to report the general situation. "Master, everything's ready. We're ready to move anytime." He announced proudly.

"Good job, Glukz. Let's go." She said, before leading them to another battle. On the way she changed her casual T-shirt and pants to a red dress. She tried to replicate the clothes from earth, making them from blood, too.

They reached the swamp in an hour. The first things they saw were a lot of high trees, which reached even 80 meters in height.

*Splash

While they were slowly advancing, an enormous crocodile jumped from the water trying to swallow one blood warrior whole. The blood warrior, contrary to the beast's expectations, didn't try to evade, but tried to get swallowed by it. After it managed to swallow him, the warrior made a hole from within, escaping and killing it at the same time.

As they advanced slowly after this, something else happened.

*Shoosh! *Whoosh! *Shoosh!

Waves of arrows fell on them like rain, while they hid behind their shields.

"Archers and mages, shoot them back!", ordered Emily, before casting a protective barrier with the other wind magicians.

The ambushers were some swamp goblins, whose skin was darker compared to the simple goblins. They sneaked behind and in the trees or under the water, and retreated after approximately 50 of them were shot, leaving their brothers behind.

"Glukz, interrogate them immediately. I want to know where their and other monsters' tribes are as soon as possible." Emily said in a serious manner.

"Understood, we'll try our best.", he said, hurrying with some men towards the enemy. He came to report his findings after 15 minutes.

"Master, swamp goblins' tribes are in the east and west, while the trolls and ogres' tribes in the south."

"Good, let's take out the goblins first, then the rest."
