Next day, the royal palace's throne room was overwhelmed by people with high positions. It was big enough to accommodate all the nobles of the kingdom, from the Duke's family to every baron's. The walls were colored in a golden yellow, with colorful stained glasses here and there. To the ceiling were attached several gold and crystal chandeliers, which gave off an extravagant impression. At the end of the room was the throne, a small path of stairs guiding towards it. It was made entirely out of gold, and above was attached the royal family's crest, a golden lion on a red background.

All around the room were stationed the royal guards, with the task of ensuring his majesty's wellbeing and safety. As time passed on, all noble families and the important generals of the army were present in the throne room. It was easy to differentiate between them, as the nobles were wearing lavish, expensive clothes while the army commanders were wearing simple, typical clothing for events similar to this one. Seeing that the guests already came, a guard went to relay the message to his majesty. Soon after, he came into the room, accompanied by his daughter, Madelina, and another never-before-seen girl.

This raised a series of whispers and exclamations, as it was unusual for someone to accompany the king with the exception of the royal family.

A group of ladies whispered between themselves:

- Who do you think she is? Maybe an illegitimate child of the king?

-No way, the royal bloodline has silver hair and silver eyes.

-Hmm... A foreign princess, then?

-That's most probable.

While the majority of the men there were thinking about something else:

'Oh my god... She's like a symbol of beauty itself. How good would it be to have such a lady as a wife...? She must have a high position and influence too if she could walk beside the royal family.'

Obviously, that lady was Emily. Her presence started an uproar between the crowd. She was wearing a red dress from Madelina's wardrobe with golden lines, Madelina was wearing a silver dress that looked really good with her silver hair and eyes. Emily choose her dress herself, while Fergus was wearing a typical royal attire of red and golden colors, with a crown atop his head.

The trio climbed on the stage where the throne was, but Fergus didn't sit in the throne, which left everyone dumbfounded. He was the king of this nation, so he always sat in his throne first before announcing anything.

"Listen, dear citizens of the kingdom. Today, I invited all of you here for a very important matter. As you know, I'm already old, and started to make mistakes in my rule over the people." He said in a stern manner. Just this was enough to start several whisperings between the nobles, as the king was only in his thirties yet, too soon to be considered old to rule.

"I thought a lot about this and came to a conclusion: it's the younger generation's turn. As you know, fate is unpredictable at times, but thanks to this I found the most fitting person to replace me. I, Fergus Themo, the king of the Themo Kingdom, abdicate the throne and the right to rule to Emily Laryel, the new Queen and supreme ruler of this kingdom. This is my final decision, and it is official from this moment on! Any disagreement with it would be considered as betrayal and treason against the royal family and the nation!"

The whole crowd started to go crazy. The selfish, cruel king abdicated to a girl in her teens, and even not to his own daughter but to an unknown one. Some were against it, because they wanted to get on the throne themselves, while some encouraged this to get on the new queen's good side. While the uproar was ongoing, Emily sat on the throne. At that moment even the sun started to shine through the colorful glass, making an illusion that Emily was a goddess, not a human being.

Fergus and Madelina walked beside Emily, putting the crown on her head. "Silence!" Emily roared, her voice reverberating in the air, leaving the crowd speechless. "From now on, any more comments about this decision will be considered as treason, and punished with death! I, Queen Emily, announce that from today on, this kingdom will be named Amare Kingdom. Slavery is abolished from this moment, which means that trading slaves from now on is also punished by death. All the slaves under the nobles, commanders, and slave traders from this kingdom are to be freed. I won't tolerate any disobedience regarding these laws." Emily sent unexpected news one after another, leaving no room for negotiation.

'Hmm... Should I announce about the monsters' rights now or better leave it for later? I'm sure they're gonna try funny things if I do it now, and it would be problematic if other nations get the news the monsters here have rights... Nah, better drop all the bomb shells on them now. I promised to make a place for them in this kingdom, and the faster I do this, the faster the society will acknowledge them.' Emily decided in her head.

"Also, all monsters in the Amare Kingdom are to be considered equal to the humans citizens. Killing will be punished with execution, discrimination will be punished with confinement in the jail!" as Emily was talking, a group of monsters came from the entrance, encircling all those present, while several monsters went on the stage, beside Emily. They all were hobgoblins, high kobolds, orcs and high orcs, or lesser vampires clad in shining blood armor, while those on the stage were the commanders.

The announcement was something totally unexpected, as even those nobles on Emily's side didn't believe what they heard. The first to talk was Themo city's main adventurers' guild branch guild master. He was already old for an adventurer, somewhere between 50 to 60 years, his hair already gray. Nevertheless, he had a powerful and imposing build.

"My Queen," he tried to sound as polite as possible, even though his face showed his disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and disgust, "What are the adventurers going to earn money for a living from if they can't hunt monsters anymore?"

"That's exactly what I wanted to talk about next! Amare kingdom does not need any adventurers. The army is willing to take them all in, or they could find themselves any other work they want. As long as they abide by the law, I have nothing against them." The guild leader wanted to continue, but he saw the monsters and decided to remain silent.

"Now then, those people whose names I'll read are to walk in front. Those who are too slow will be killed at once!"
